and back to reality I reckon we might see a 64gb version, no different colours like iPod, a fix for the antenna or maybe a redesigned antenna.

ios5 - I doubt we will see "pimping options" like removing app names or a drop down menu or somethin when held vertically. I doubt we would see any changes to ios5 really except bug fixes and maybe (just maybe) a youtube app revision

Notifications done better.
Highly, highly likely given this: https://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/09/inventor-of-webos-banner-notification-system-returns-to-apple/

As far as hardware is concerned macduke nailed a lot of it. I agree that including the next revision of the A4 (A5?) is almost certain and will very possibly be dual core ARM Cortex A9 based. I'm also hoping that with all the in-house silicon design expertise around power saving, coupled with the possibility (probability?) of moving to 32nm, that we'll get more than a slight (10-20%) increase in battery life but will get another significant (30%-ish) increase. Battery life on the iPhone 4 is good but one can never really have too much.

Of course, if Apple is falling into a pattern, we'll get a sneak peek at one piece of the new iPhone in about March next year if the A5 (or whatever they call it) is used in the next gen iPad which is also something that I'd place money on. There's no way they'll release a new iPad without new silicon and, once they've got the new silicon, there's no way they won't use it in the next iPhone.

RFID/iPay-leveraging-iTunes. That's a very interesting/exciting possibility.

An app that allows you to store files from your computer (mentioned in another thread). Colors would be nice. S4 processor <waits for an Audi owner/enthusiast to say "I see what you did thar!!">.

I like your style! Im abVW/Audi enthusiast... I'll be waiting for the RS4 processor ;)

And in iOS 5 :
- something happening whe holding the phone vertically in the main menu.

That means something should happen when holding the phone normally? I think you mean horizontally??

Alright. I'll have a go. Here's my (very) short list of requested features:

- custom SMS tones
- improved voice command recognition
- voice to text input
- Bluetooth 3.0/ 4.0
- live icons (along with the calendar app, the weather/ clock/ and compass apps should have live icons or make the weather, clock, and stock apps (compass?) into widgets
- improved multitasking: allow things to refresh/ check for updates in background (ex: mail/ facebook/ Twitter apps constantly refresh so they're always up to date)
- improved keyboard (Swype competitor? I've emailed Steve about this, and he said that they've tested it before, but found that it wasn't as good as their current keyboard...)
- live wallpapers (can download more from App Store)
- widget system (can download more from App Store)
- wireless sync/ cloud services
- much improved push notifications
- wireless hotspot feature (carrier's fault?)
- FaceTime over 3G/ 4G (carrier's fault )
- when installing updates/ new applications, the process should happen in the background so that it doesn't "rip" you out of the App Store app (a message could notify you that the process is taking place/ has finished) -> know what I mean?
- "Kill All" multitasking apps button (don't know where you'd place it in the OS, but it sure would beat going through each individual application and closing it)
- enhanced mail (star favorites, etc.)
- refined folders (be able to have more than 12 apps in a folder -> ex: all games can fit in one Game folder, instead of multiple folders spread out across the screen)
- free voice navigation service (either it's free or it becomes part of MobileMe)
- major UI overhaul (current rows of icon after icon get boring... iOS could use something really fresh...)
- get rid of YouTube app (m.youtube.com is far better than what Apple's currently serving)
- faster Safari/ better performance
- App Store app constantly checks for app updates, etc.
- smarter OS (ex: if you type an email and can't send it because you're not connected to the internet, instead of the message "Cannot send mail," etc. it should say "Will send message in background once internet connection is reestablished" and other little goodies like that)

*:apple: iPhone availability on Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile alongside AT&T

The truth is, we're going to have to endure jokes like this until Apple either fixes iP4 or iP5 is released.

I want to see carbon fiber back casing instead of glass. It would be painted in five colors.

Yes, I do mean horizontally, sorry. I'll edit my first post.
