yeah was a little disappointed but eh... 32gbs served me well so i think i can go another year with 32gbs... plus i have other ipods to fill my whole library so not too worried

More memory is always better, even if you don't think you will ever use it....believe me you will. The new iphone uses a higher resolution camera, so your pics and videos will take up more memory. Newer apps will use more memory. So 32Gb is not enough and the reason I am holding out for a 64GB iPhone.

I always say, buy the most memory you can afford.

My 32GB Touch is full and I had my fingers crossed for a 64GB iPhone to replace it.

Are you kidding? The fact they didn't announce a 64gb made the rest of the iPhone 4 a disappointment to me because I wanted it so bad. I am still really considering not upgrading my 3G because of it, but I think I will since my 18 months was up in May.

With that said, I hope that they push my date up next year so I can upgrade to the newer one next year as well if it is 64GB.

I would have paid $400 for a 64 this year.

I love it when people say "You don't need a 64GB's of space. IT'S A PHONE!!!" The lines between phone and music player have been blurring since they made Sony Ericsson Walkman phones, and with the iPhone out, it has become my sole music player.

Honestly I just want a 64 GB iPhone so I can fit Apple Lossless on it.

Yes. My 32GB is crammed full and I already had to make some hard edits. I knew a 64 gig iPhone 4 wasn't likely, but I was hoping.

I know...mines full and with HD video recording and tons of new apps, im gonna have to cut back and delete a lot of stuff :(

I second everything above. That's exactly how I feel.

I believe that 64gb was not offered for physical space+cost considerations. However, yes, I would have paid $399 for a 64gb iPhone 4 since I plan to use it as my main audio device as well a phone and I have about 40gigs of music.

It would be great if Apple reinstated streaming music through the internet in iTunes. This would definitely alleviate my desire for a 64 gb iPhone.

Chances are that there will be a 64 GB model next year, as the single 64GB chip would have gone down in price by then. I don't know if it will. Be cheap enough to use by September, but if so we might see a 128 GB iPod Touch.

I doubt we'll see a 128GB iPod Touch this year. With the recently introduced top models of iPad and iPhone being 64 and 32GB, respectively, it'd be a bit too much of a slap in the face. I don't believe there's ever been a Touch with quadruple the storage of the largest concurrently sold iPhone, and to sell one that's both that and double the capacity of the $700-830 iPad (which obviously had room for more, if they wanted to put it in) would be unwise from a business perspective, IMO.

128GB Touch NEXT year? Absolutely. This year, most likely not.

Even a 64GB wouldn't be enough so I would have taken it with as much storage as they would give. Having it max out at 32GB was the only disappointment from the announcement.

I would not. I just do not see the need for it. I have a 32GB and I could easily fill it up w/ music and video if I wanted, but I don't b/c backup would be nauseatingly sloooooooow and I'll never use that much media in a day or even a week.

The "Its a phone" argument is old and tiring. The reason I got the iPhone was so I would not have to carry around two devices anymore. I use to have an iPod and a Blackberry, so the obvious choice was getting an iPhone since I knew I loved my touch.

And to top it off, if they want people to take the iPhone seriously as a gaming device, they need to up it to 64GB. How can one device be a phone, gaming system, HD Video Recorder, Camera, App User, video watcher, book reader and Music Device if they don't give you enough space to do all of that.

Are there any games that even take advantage of 32GBs? The largest game I have is Madden. I think it's around 100MB. Even if a game was double that that is a fraction of space even in a 32GB model.

It seems to me that app developers are always going to design their product for the least capable machine to ensure maximum sales.

As the iPhone advances, so will games, meaning larger sizes. Especially with a higher display, easily means apps, games and videos will be larger. You need space to carry around alot of games.

I would definetly take a 64GB if it were available. Even it cost more. I only have 16GB right now, so 32GB will be a nice upgrade in space.
