If you are willing to wait, maybe HTC might put out a new Android phone for T-Mobile. A 4.3" screen would be quite nice.

where did you hear that? 1700?
In the past Samsung phones have not been the best for service and support, this has all changed just this year. I read an article (wish I would have grabbed the link) that they are making a big push this year to grow their market share in the smartphone sector. The Galaxy S has been extremely successful and is a very stable high quality phone. I will be buying one myself on the AT&T network when they release late in July or at the beginning of August. The AT&T version is called Captivate. Yours on T-Mobile will ship with Android 2.1 with a free upgrade to "Froyo" version 2.2 shortly thereafter. I've used a beta version of 2.2 and it's a truly outstanding Android release. Best of all it comes with Flash.... a very important feature. That's the only thing about iOS I do not like, as the facts (like it or not) are that much of what is on the net is flash based. Many of the sites I visit use flash, so I cannot use my iPhone for those.I think I might get the Galaxy S after all.
I'm on a family plan with my parents, grandparents, and uncle, my line was eligible for upgrade in November. There are rumors of an HTC Vision or HD3, or even the iPhone 4 coming to T-Mobile end of this year, but my grandparents line will be eligible for upgrade in November of this year, so I'll be safe
Using my iPhone 3G on EDGE is becoming unbearable, especially when I used my moms myTouch slide on 3G, I think I might get the Galaxy S after all.

I'm a current T-Mobile user with an iPhone 3G, and on the 21st T-Mobile wil be releasing the Galaxy S on their network. I've been meaning to wait for an unlock to the iPhone 4, but I'm thinking to switching to the Galaxy S. The main reason being that I'm tired of using edge speeds. Whats a better option, iPhone 4 with edge, or Galaxy S with Tmobile 3G?

I actually got to try out a Galaxy S. I kind of liked it, but there are too many compromises for me to give up my iPhone for an Android device. Here are a few.... Music player, camera, video camera, os speed, tap to zoom, quality of onscreen keyboard, app quality and quantity, email client, are all way better on the iPhone.
The iPhone 4's 5MP shooter is better than Samsung's Galaxy S: http://www.macworld.com/article/152314/2010/06/iphonecameratests.htmlReally? Your 5 MP camera is better than Samsungs 5 MP camera? Based on what? I doubt Samsungs has a green spot in the middle of its pictures. iP4 1Ghz processor is better than Samsungs 1Ghz processor? How so? Samsung makes the processors for iPhone.
IMO the only thing that makes the apps better from Apple is the ability to jailbreak and get things you cant otherwise because 95% of the apps in iTunes, i dont care about. There are some stupid ones in there.
Me thinks the fanboy in you is biased.

It happens. The only difference is that Apple has the best hardware/ software combo on the market. Always. For example: the iPhone 4's 5MP shooter out-does the to-be-released Droid X by a healthy margin. Food for thought.I just bought an iPhone 4, but it seems that if Apple doesn't put out another phone this year, at the rate competitors are putting out phones, Apple's gonna get lapped.

The iPhone 4 doesn't have a green spot in it's pictures, either. As far as the processors go, it's a draw, since Samsung produces (and helped make) both.
P.S. You're always going to find "stupid" applications in every app store, no matter what platform.![]()
iFixit did a full tear-down and it's confirmed to be clocked at 1GHz. As for the graphics card, I have no idea, so you're probably right.A4 in iPhone is not a 1Ghz chip. It's believed to be between 600 and 800 Mhz so it is quite slower and the graphic in Galaxy is the fastest of all phones

I know it happens, but I just can't see it being forever. Software/hardware technology is not changing year-to-year anymore. It's changing monthly. It seems there's better spec'd phones (yes, I know...) coming out each month.
So a link from MACWORLD saying it is the best is what your giving me? Im sure they arent biased at all
Look, i dont really care one way or the other, a 5MP camera is about the same across the board but perhaps you missed the thread in here about the green spot in many peoples pictures. It is a problem at least for some that got the first batch. Ive never heard of anybody with any phone having that problem.
The iPhone is a great thing imo and i love mine but they miss the boat an many things and are still playing catchup to other companies as far as what the device can do. There has been video phone calling on models already and Apple is just now getting into the game so though it is cool, they arent setting any standard here. They are catching up in some regards to apps and Android is catching up to them with apps and is actually putting out a equal or better OS with the release of 2.2.
Only thing missing for Android is a jailbreak which could move many to go with them. Apple would be smart to get their phone on the other carriers instead of just AT&T which would make it a bit cheaper for service with more choices out there.
