You are brutal, brutal, brutal.

First of all, the iPhone 4 camera is probably the best phone camera out right now. It is topping even 8mp cams in terms of quality.

Second, the green spot isn't affecting very many people, but of course you android fans will hear about one issue, then assume that everyone else is having that same problem.

Third, I used to own a Samsung Phone. It was another iPhone wannabe called the Samsung Behold. It was big news at the time, in that it boasted a very uncommon 5 megapixel camera. Guess what though? The camera was AWFUL. It literally took 5 to 7 seconds to snap a shot! On top of that, the photos were awful looking too.

Expect to see similar disappointments in this phone too.

First of all, im not an Android fan. But im also not afraid to admit when something is good that isnt iPhone. Also i agree, the Behold sucked and i didnt like it at all. Doesnt mean another one cant be good. The Behold also is not getting the new 2.2. Probably going to discontinue that phone and im guessing because it sucked.

As for the camera...im seeing it here. Sure not all 1.5 million phones are having the issue but im sure it is more than you think it is.

Lastly, i think the biggest difference between the Galaxy camera and iPhone is the flash. Didnt see a big difference in quality.

actually, the facebook and ebay apps are far better on the iPhone. More features. Have you tried them? I have. So you already got 2 out of three wrong.

I havent tried them on 2.2 and neither have you. All of your opinions are based of 2.1 or even lower. Im not sure.
I get it. You didnt like it. Hey, news flash....some didnt like iPhone 2.0 either. So what features from ebay are on iPhone that isnt on Android?

huh? You make no sense. You are talking about the OS version and I am talking about individual apps. Maybe the developers will add new features when the new OS ships. Maybe these developers will also update their iPhone apps when iOS 5 ships. Whats your point? As of right now, iPhone apps are superior to Android apps.

Every operating system has the apps updated just like they did for ebay on 4.0.

I have not tried them because i do not have a Android phone and i cant use ebay in the store phones so i cant compare.

Whats a SUPER Amoled screen? I know what Amoled is but not the super bit?

Also it may have better specs but, I see Windows machines with 'better specs' than some Macs yet they do not run as well.

Remember kids, specs are not everything.

There is no guarantee that developers will update their apps when 2.2 come out and add more features. I have plenty of apps on my nexus that haven't been updated in months. Oh, by the way I have 2.2 on my device now.

Are you talking about iPhone 4 pixel density? You can easily Google SAMOLED. In short, it solved the problem of AMOLED not being good under direct sun. It also has a number of other advantages: better power consumption (and much better than LCD) and thiner panel (the reason Galaxy S is as thin as iPhone 4 while keeping antennas inside and thus avoiding reception issues plaguing iPhone 4)

I remember a report that said Apple had tested various OLED screens (including SAMOLED, I believe) for the iPhone 4. Apple had found so many problems in their testing that they chose LCD + IPS + Retina Display technology instead. In that case, I'm hoping Samsung will fix the current problems, allowing Apple to implement an OLED screen type into their next iPhone. Just my $0.02 on the matter.

They simply could not decide to go with SAMOLED panels because they have no access to them. Samsung is the inventor and sole supplier and they just do not have the capacity yet to supply these panels in numbers required for iPhone. I do find it indicative that Samsung which manufacturers both SAMOLED and "retina" panels (for iPhone) decided to go with more expensive SAMOLED panels for their own top of the line phones.

Fair enough. Supply issues was one of the main concerns - just look at the Droid Incredible. :apple:

LG make the panels for the iP4 not Samsung.

And I am very glad that Apple didn't go with AMOLED or Super AMOLED for that matter.

And the reason is two words; Pentile Matrix.;)

Besides which, I have owned many Samsung phones and they have had minimal support.

Nothing like Apple supporting their phones for three years.

I've used android devices before and if i was going to make android my main smartphone platform to use. I wouldn't get one from samsung They have a pretty bad track record of rolling out new Android Versions to phones.

Pretty much i would be suprised if the Galaxy S got anything past Gingerbread if even that.

Don't know how true the spec list is there.

What I do know is that Samsung's hardware is always top of the line and I'm sure Samsung will be one of the first to come out with the next gen phones.

What I also know is that their software blows hard, even when using Android (touchwiz anyone?)

lastly, they produce so many phones that support for them is pretty much gone after a few months.

Hopefully they will be doing things different now. For instance, they have made Galaxy S a "brand" and have managed to bring versions on all major carriers in the U.S. at around the same time. That's different for sure. I can't recall a time when a phone maker did that before. And all the models are somewhat different too. Especially the Sprint version which has a keyboard. So perhaps they have turned a corner and will support their phones better going forward. Seems like they have had a mindset change.

But agree that the rumored spec list is not right. Just the amount of memory alone is a red flag. I could be proved wrong, but it's highly unlikely that it will have 32gb of storage. I don't see them spending the extra money on that when there is an SD card slot as well. But we shall see.

yeah cuz it obviously couldn't be because apple went with the cheaper choice to make more profit.. hmm idk just a thought.. I mean with the ipad they make close to $500 on an $800 ipad.. i mean they did it before and they will do it Again..

Yeah, it's just someone's dream spec-list. The 2GHz mark is something a lot of people have been harping on, but no one has announced any plans to take an A8 beyond 1.5 GHz, and ARM roadmaps don't go past 1.8 GHz for any chip over the next several years.

http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2010/04/23/arms-upcoming-chipset-roadmap-leaked-by-samsung/

(FYI, this is ARM only. Licensees can produce higher-clocked versions such as those seen by Intrinsity and Qualcomm's snapdragon).

ppl need to **** about the Iphone 4 camera being better then the 8MP camera in the other phones because it's not true unless you listen to a bias sites. I posted proof and so did other ppl in a thread that shows the phone isn't even that much better then a Iphone 3G. Now the video is better on the Iphone 4 but pics is another story. Here's a link to the thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/954954/ when these pics got posted all the Apple fanboys ran out the thread to never post again.

Interestingly, HTC has said that because of the AMOLED shortage, combined with the backlog of Incredible orders, they will be making Incredibles using Super TFT LCD screens as well.

("Super TFT" is another nickname for "IPS", btw.)

Methinks the Incredibles with the LCD will be popular with some people.

Macworld isn't a bias site. They're not blinded like fanboys. They see problems, they're fair, and they don't lie. The testing they conduct is professional, unlike yours. Here: http://www.macworld.com/article/152314/2010/06/iphonecameratests.html

You're probably right. I wonder how Apple's lawsuit will affect HTC's products? :apple:

Yeah, unless you hate being able to see the screen in the sun and colors that aren't oversaturated ;)

It won't. Apple's patent portfolio is stronger than HTC's, but HTC still has some leverage. It will likely end up with a cross-licensing agreement plus maybe some settlement to Apple.

I own three Android devices currently (for work purposes). the nexus, EVO, and incredible. I can easily state that the iPhone 4 camera shoots better still pictures and video compared to all three of those devices. The difference is especially clear in shooting videos. Its no contest.

I think it will. HTC doesn't have very good leverage. I talked to an attorney who's all over this kind of stuff, and this is what he said:

"Apple will likely beat HTC, and I am not sure that Apple is interested in settling the case. HTC counter-asserted patents that Apple clearly does not infringe."*

See? :apple:
