??? You don't make a lot of sense in your post. Android does have a jailbreak known as "rooting". It's been around since the G1 came out a few years ago. AT&T isn't the most expensive plan out there and I believe a Verizon iPhone would be the same price or more expensive. Video calling has been on only a couple of phones so don't act like it was a widely available feature and Apple is just now catching up. Apple has great potential with FaceTime and it is so far executed much better than the competition. Just wait until it is opened up to Skype and other VOIP aps.
FROYO has yet to be released on a wide-scale so no one really knows how great it is or will be. The Nexus One benefits and that's great but it's not a revolutionary update. The 5MP camera on my iPhone 4 blows many phones and point/shoot cameras out of the water. Specs may not be huge on the phone by any means but their execution is the key.
Didnt know there was a jailbreak or rooting. Ive only recently been paying attention to Android because of the new devices coming out.
And it isnt widely known but it is known and on several devices but no not all. Dont get me wrong, Apple puts out some great stuff but they have dragged their heels on getting things in their system as well like MMS and other things. And to have an iPhone on AT&T, their rates are much higher than to have any other phone so what are you talking about there?
If every carrier had them, it would be cheaper. I doubt T-Mobile will raise their rates just for an iPhone. They dont for the others(unless you choose the Blackberry data which i think is more) and why would you stay with AT&T to have an iPhone if you can have one on T-Mobile for say $25 less for a single user? I pay $117 for 4 lines on T-Mobile(only one has data) and i know someone who pays $298 for three iPhones on AT&T.
If all 4 had data it would still only be around $207-$217 or less depending on which data i got.
