Hmm just checked it out now, I don't remember choosing priority shipping so it must have changed to that. Shipping charges still $0.00
Yup, I ordered it on the 8th around 6PM PST, however I ordered via Apple not AT&T.
I'm always worried that my FAN or Family Plan could be holding things up and they just aren't telling me.
I triple-checked my reservation and I actually have two confirmation emails: one without data or location and one with a date and location.
Here's what happened:
First Time: I went through the pre-order process, chose to reserve, and got to the part where I would choose which of the four 3Gs models I wanted. I wanted to talk it over with my wife, who was sleeping (she doesn't really care and while normally she would be nice and play along, I didn't want to push my luck) so I just closed my computer and whet to bed without finalizing my reservation. Nevertheless, I recieved the confirmation email by the morning, though it had a broken link where the phone picture was supposed to be and no date or store info.
Second Time: I went through the whole process, including selecting a phone (32GB black, thank you very much). This time I got a confirmation email that included the phone picture, date, and store.
It looks like the first email was sent due to a bug in thier system. It probably does not constitute a valid reservation -- e.g., what model of phone did they reserve for me? For what day and where?
Hopefully, my second reservation is not messed up by the first, invalid one.
Anyway, if your email does not contain the date, you might not have a valid reservation. That would be bad. Maybe call Apple or the Apple store to confirm your reservation.
Yes, EVERYONE gets "Priority" shipping. It's all there is when Apple ships from China (obviously there is no "ground" service). Unfortunately Apple doesn't make this clear and many people inevitably end up paying for the exact same priority shipping they could have had for free. However, Apple will refund shipping on request in this case if you call.
Ordered on June 8th...Hopefully I get it by the 19th. Not looking hopefully at the moment.
Mine shows exactly the same thing. I just spoke w/ Apple and was told it will arrive the 19th and that the date is a glitch. YMMV.
Just remember... if u ordered on the 8th or 9th, it wont matter, its not going to SHIP to your house (if you have apple store shipping to your house) until this week. They aren't going to get them in the hands of people prior to the 19th, (although i'm sure some will arrive on the 18th). hopefully thats mine! 
Sorry it is very small but if you can read it was actually "shipped" the 12th. No tracking info yet though. By the way I am in NYC. http://tinypic.com/r/2nrllll/5

Your iPhone hasn't actually shipped yet... mine shows the same thing... "Shipped" the 12th.. that is actually the date their system assigned a tracking number to the package, but if you look further to the right on that page, there is still a ZERO in the "Qty Shipped" field... the photo at your above link also has a ZERO in that field just as mine does. UPS doesn't recognize my tracking number... because they haven't received the package from AT&T yet.
Alright the ATT page just update and it says "Qty Backordered: 1" now... while its been saying it will ship on 6/15/09 all morning. I ordered the first hour it was available on the AT&T page too... wtf.
All AT&T people need to listen as I and thousands of others went through this process last year. Do not bother to keep checking your order status on the AT&T site. Don't pay attention to the ship date or the back order status or the changes you will see with numbers going from 1 to 0. All of these things will change constantly without any rhyme or reason. In fact, last year I was late ordering from AT&T and initially ordered a black phone. Then I heard a rumor that the white ones were shipping faster. I went back to AT&T the next day, canceled my order for the black and placed a new one for the white. My white one shipped out that next day and I got it the following. All the guys at the store could not believe how fast I got it as there were a ton of people who ordered days before me that did not have theirs yet.
Before mine shipped, my statuses said about everything you can think of. Until you get the actual tracking number for your order, nothing else you see means anything. Take it from someone who dealt with it last year.
But don't despair, we will all get ours eventually.
I'm considering cancelling my 16GB and reordering a 32GB from Apple when I get home today. I wonder if they will still get it to me by Friday. Oh the decisions!

Has anyone's credit card (or debit card) been charged yet? The hold that was put on my account dropped on Friday and they've yet to put it back up...

I believe someone spoke with someone from Apple here and posted that the last day to order is the 17th if you want to get it by friday.
Mine's the same way as well. I'm not worrying too much about it because I'm just going to be putting my 3G's SIM card into the 3GS and don't expect there will be any change in the plan unless I expressly say to.
I am going to be lurking these forums until I get my email saying my iPhone was sent, once it's sent, I am not visiting this page until friday. My nerves are shot, haha, from the anticipation and reading everyone complaining about not receiving an email!
