I wonder if this will apply to me? I had an HTC smartphone through ATT and had to upgrade to the 3G S at the higher price. it specifically says for iphone 3G owners, but I hope it applies in this case as well.

My order status is still "prepared to ship" though I ordered soon after the keynote. how many people who ordered on the 8th actually have a tracking number yet? I'm getting very nervous!

Ordered on the 8th and no tracking #.

okay well i, along with moodswung, came to the conclusion that if you initially chose overnight shipping [refunded or not], it will ship out tomorrow because in their system, we all are still listed as 'overnight shipping'. i even called an apple CRS and she said that it's still under overnight shipping even though it was refunded and since right now is not really "overnight" for june 19th, it'll probably be going out later today or tomorrow *crosses fingers*
 
I'm very confident we will be getting by friday.. The only thing that concerns me is that my money was placed on hold in my account, was never taken out, and is now back in my available balance..

My amex card was charged. My shipment is held in louisiana.

same here...i dont think it will be taken out until delivery...just make sure you have enough in your account so it isnt overdrawn!

Just checked my UPS tracking site and the status has changed from Exception to In Transit – On Time and the delivery date now says today, 6/17/09 (again) – which I know is not the case. However, now the KY scan is removed and last scan show China on 6/16. WTF?! I don’t think UPS can keep up with this crap. Apple, just let me have my phone & go work on iChat or something useful.
 
Mine is still "prepared for shipment" :( Has been for about 24 hours. It says "standard shipping" I did not change shipping from over night to standard, I just went with the shipping method that was there. It still says delivery by June 19th. I hope it ships soon and I get it on Friday!

Thing is i ordered early last week as well and never selected overnight shipping and mine still says prepared for shipment, this is really pissing me off considering people that ordered just a few days ago already have tracking numbers while those of us that ordered early are currently getting the shaft.

Still prepared for shipment

I ordered on June 10th, changed to prepared yesterday afternoon, and i am still on prepared ):

I am in the northeast btw.
 
Anyone else pissed that they're doing this on Friday? I mean - if they did it on Monday and they missed the delivery day, you could just get your phone tuesday...but if UPS misses Friday for me (as per my apple e-mail) we won't get them till Monday...lame.
