[Merged] The Official iPhone 3GS "I Have a Tracking Number" Thread!

So I had called ATT on Monday to ensure that my order was still good to go despite me not having a tracking number like everyone seems to have here (Granted, this thread is biased towards those that DO have a tracking number).

I originally ordered from the Apple store minutes after the keynote was over and the store was up. I then canceled that order on the 10th, and placed a new one with ATT (to take advantage of the bing.com offer).

Since I am porting a phone number over for this new phone / line with ATT, I've been expecting the worst.

The ATT rep told me today that I am for sure good to go, and that my phone ships tomorrow - and will be in my hands Friday. He said some peoples orders are shipping from China, and some peoples order are shipping from ATT's supply they already have in the states.... which makes perfect sense.

So, I'm no longer nervous about being left high and dry. Hopefully I have my shipping info tomorrow as expected :D

i bet they are! I'm not gonna lie, for the past two days all i have done is sit and watch soccer on tv while refreshing this forum and now (today) i have also been refreshing my UPS status page ever couple of minutes. And honestly, i am thoroughly enjoying this. I am so excited and it's fun having everyone talking and enjoying this together. It reminds me of camping out of the store to wait for a videogame or a new videogame system :D

If they ship by tonight, I think they could still make it. Shanghai is 12 hours ahead, so if they went out early Thursday morning there (tonight here), they could definitely be here by Friday.

yeah it keeps me going thru the day, even though i am like 99.9% sure i will have it on the 19th reading this has still been a blast. i look fwd to the next iphone release for this forum...

man i hope it has oled haha
 
I wonder how long Apple would take to refund me if I canceled my order. I ordered using Paypal debit, then put the remaining balance on another card. I'd almost rather just go to the store Friday morning.

then you'll spend at least half the day waiting in line.
 
Just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that I still here and still have no tracking number and I still HATE AT&T right now. Nothings changed!

barely any from the east coast [i think from what i've been reading..i've been following all 139 pages haha]..i haven't and i ordered mine june 8th. i seriously think we're getting ours from a domestic hub. i'm calling apple [again] now to see what the deal is and see if they'll tell me something :)
 
Mine has shipped from AT&T via FedEx, but no tracking number is available yet. I am in NC.

Please keep us posted! At this point it definitely isn't too late to receive them on Friday, even if they ship from Shanghai.
 
great convo with Apple rep/supervisor!

Hey all. So yeah I know most people prob know this but some good points

1.) if you are eligible for the credit for getting the phone atthe lower price, it will automatically come on friday
2.) supervisor said most prepared to ships are continential and they are sticking behind their Friday delivery date. Ad that if my order says held at carrier( or what ever it says) don't worry it's their(apples) doing and they just don't want the phones going out early.


Good news :) so everyone who ordered the 8th or whenever and is paranoid you can settle down

Yes, many (if not most) of us who ordered from AT&T in store or Apple have already recieved tracking numbers and have seen the phone start to move. Most seem to be in KY right now. You've got a lot of reading to catch up on, lol. :D

Nope, still prepared for shipment. But I've talked with a few Apple people and I've been assured my phone will be delivered on the 19th. They MUST have some in the country already...which is probably why most of the people who ordered early haven't had theirs shipped, they're already here.

NYC/not/8th/32gb blk.

Apple on the phone (still so nice and courteous after what has to be lots of calls about the same thing!) says still looking good for 6/19.

Would feel MUCH better with a tracking # but what can I do? Nothing but wait.

Obvs if it has not shipped by tomorrow PM, it's not coming on Fri. But hopefully it will be ALL GOOD.
 
My order status is "Prepared for Shipping"
Ships: Jun 19
Delivers: Jun 22

It's a white 16GB iPhone 3GS pre-ordered for delivery from Apple.

Anyone in the same boat as me?

I doubt many people will be at this mall early in the morning, especially on a Friday. Last year I went to a pretty populated mall at 5:30-6PM and was out in under an hour, and I feel like there was more hype around the 3G than the 3GS.
