Ordered on June 14th. June 15th Prepared for Shipment. Just received Fed Ex tracking number. Shipping out on 6/18. To be delivered on 6/19 by 3pm.

Thank you Apple, Fed Ex and yes, even AT&T. And a special thanks to all MacRumor posters for the updates...you saved me from making any calls to Apple on order status.

FEDX. So, Its FedEX and arriving on the 22nd by 4:30 pm.

Does anyone know the timeframe in which a package needs to be shipped in order to make a Next Day Delivery? I want to know at what point should I be getting nervous.

I'm especially worried cause I called Apple a couple days after ordering to switch the color. I have a feeling that might somehow gum up the works.

Yeah, one day. That's why they call it... NEXT DAY delivery. I've ordered stuff at 10pm at night and received it at 10am the next morning. The logistics in the shipping industry is very tight and runs like clock work. In the case of the iPhone it really just depends on Apple's contact. Usually for big orders like this the delivery companies have tractor trailers lined up at the warehouse and run through several times a day.

Honestly, this is bull if we don't get our phones tomorrow. It said Delivers on June 19th on their website and on the order status, then all of the sudden tracking info says the 22nd? GTFO with that.

How do I check where my phone EXACTLY is. Since early yesterday it has said Anchorage, Alaska. Can it still be there or is it on a flight here?

You can't check exactly where it is, really. You can check where it's been scanned.

Just trust that it'll get to you on time, tomorrow. No reason for it not to, at this point.

That will be at your house tomorrow. Not sure where you are, but it will fly to either Louisville or Rockford around 10 pm, then in the wee hours of the morning to your closest airport and out for delivery before 8 am.

I also ordered from Premier on the 12th and paid extra for overnight shipping, but my status still says "in progress". It did move out of back-ordered status this morning, but still not shipping! I'm gonna strangle AT&T if I paid extra for overnight shipping and don't get my phone until Monday........while you can order today from Apple and either pick it up or have it delivered tomorrow for FREE!

I ordered it @ 7am on the 12th. Not sure if that makes a difference. I do hope your iphone pulls through though. I know how you feel!

We have ordered two:

My husband's was one of the first to ship and is sitting in Louisville.

Mine, (ordered ten mins after his on the 8th) still at prepared for shipment

I need to see some movement for tomorrow!! Apple said we will get both on the 19th and UPS said that my husband's will arrive tomorrow... we shall see!

now see.... THAT was your mistake... ordering his first! when i did our pre-orders monday evening... i ordered MINE first, then his... just in case there were any issues with pre-ordering a second one! lol!

My email from Apple was actually sent to my me.com account at 8:29AM. But I have been checking all morning and just now got it at 11:31AM. Wow, there email servers are way behind....

Everyone just take a deep breath. It will come. I am sure of it.

The only reason I am concerned is because I got an email last night stating I need to come to the apple store to complete my purchase, even though I ordered via online store for home delivery. I did call Apple and they said I'd have it tomorrow shipped though

Its Finally Shipped!!!

I finally got my tracking number. I ordered a 16GB Black on Tuesday the 16th and they just sent me the tracking info. It'll be here TOMORROW!!!

I received a email from apple this morning saying mine would be delivered by June 22nd and then I finally received my tracking number from fedex about an hour ago. It said I would receive my order tomorrow the 19th by 3:00pm

They will have kept their word when everyone who ordered gets theirs. Mine still hasn't shipped according to Apple's site. I ordered at 12:26 on 6/8.

Question, is signature confirmation required? FedEx or UPS?

On mine it says signature required for FedEx. On the Apple order page it gives you the option to pre-sign for your package.

I ordered my phone at about 7pm on the day of the WWDC keynote and my order just went from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Shipped via FEDEX" about ten minutes ago.

I would imagine they're busy pushing all of the orders out today. If you're still in "Prepared for Shipment" status, it's probably a safe bet that you'll have a tracking number at some point today.

Most FedEx locations are open until 6:00pm and they still accept overnight packages up until that time. As long as all the phones are shipped by early this evening they should all make it to their destinations tomorrow.

Enjoy your new iPhones, everybody! I'm still using my original iPhone (never upgraded to 3G) and the screen's been busted for three months. I'll be happy to have a fast new device that I can actually read stuff on tomorrow.
