but you'll be waiting in line! i'll be at work... nice and comfy in front of my computer (probably here!) instead of in line with a bunch of other folks... hot (or cold.... depending on the weather!) waiting.... waiting.... ugh....

oh wait... for that matter... if UPS is correct... i'll already have my iphone on friday.... so i'll be playing with it... while you are waiting in line!

They usually try to redeliver over the next few days, only 3 times before it is shipped back. But not sure UPS's policy on the weekend.


I have mine being shipped to my work so if its not here on friday, I am SOL until monday anyway.

thanks for the info. i'm probably the only person on the planet that wants it delivered on the 19th instead of the 18th. lol.
 
AT&T PreOrders - pickup at store

Has anyone here preordered from AT&T and is waiting for an email or phone call from your local AT&T store when the phone is ready for you to pick up? If so, has your order status gone from In-Progress to Shipped, but the tracking number still doesn't work?
 
East Coast people getting theirs shipped? Still trying to figure out why mine hasnt shipped or prepared for it yet!

I was not aware that telling you that your phones will arrive Friday is raining on the parade? I was pretty sure that was GOOD news!

I personally hope Apple includes a complimentary tampon in each package... the folks around here could surely use one. ;)
 
AT&T chat dude

I ordered mine on the 13th and this is what "james" told me:

James S.: Pre-orders for iPhone 3G S will be shipped with overnight priority and will be processed to arrive as early as June 19th, 2009 if submitted by noon CT on June 17th, 2009. The actual shipment date and receipt of your order is not guaranteed and may be subject to delays for reasons that include, but are not limited to, product availability, inventory, credit issues, number porting or carrier delays, and completion of other required AT&T business processes. Additional items added to the cart at the time of your pre-order may ship separately if inventory is already available. All pre-orders taken online are being handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

LOL, no you're not. I also want mine on the 19th. I specifically took Friday off so that I could be home for the delivery. :)
 
prepared for shipment

Mine just changed to "Prepared for Shipment" and the "Cancel Order" option is disabled.

Ordered from Apple.com on June 9 at 7 am PST. I am from east coast.

i did preorder in-store from at&t but with no official email or phone call yet. however, the status for my orders have gone from in-progress to shipped. my tracking numbers also dont work yet. i wouldnt really worry, i have a good feeling we will get ours on the 19th. i am going to call the local at&t rep though to see if they know more than we do.. *fingers-crossed!*

Me too, I have off work thursday, and am having it delivered to work! Would really suck if it showed up at work on my day off.
 
NYC here and just changed to "Prepared for Shipment"!!!

Edit: Oh and ordered from apple.com
 
bad news for new at&t customers

i just got off the phone with apple and for those of you who are new customers to AT&T aka porting a number..bad news:

-if you're a new customer to at&t, you can't just plug in your new iphone into itunes and activate it..you're going to have to go into an at&t store/authorized dealer to get it activated..this sucks. i thought i was going to be able to avoid the chaos on this day.....darn.
 
In the last 30 minutes, mine went to Chek lap kok, HK and then...back to SHENZHEN?

(I checked 30 minutes ago, and there was nothing for CHEK LAP KOK, HK)
