Why would you get it Wednesday ? You are on the EAST coast. West COasters would get it sooner than you.

FYI, I live in Seattle, and ordered it at noon on the 8th through apple, and the order is still in progress

Ordered mine at Apple.com about a half-hour ago. No emails yet, however the site reflects the June 19th delivery date and I called in Customer Service. They confirmed Apple is still on time with deliveries and will arrive on the 19th.

Almost there, guys!
 
Shipment Notification

WOOOOO! I just received my Shipment notification email from Apple and have received a tracking number! Screenshot of UPS tracking screen attached

Preordered from Apple on June 9, 32GB white

I ordered my white 32GB on June 11th, and got the notice of it shipping from China via UPS this morning. I specifically had it shipped to my work address instead of home so I could be sure I'd get it ASAP. :D

At least the person you called knew about the June 19th delivery. The one I called yesterday didn't know it would arrive on June 19th with free delivery! :eek:

If you are in NYC and that thing shipped on the 12th you should definitely be seeing that thing before the 19th. Unless all this shipping stuff that we are seeing is just a preliminary shipping procedure where they then just hold the thing at a closer outlet and wait for 1.5 days before they ship again. I don't know. What I do know is that I be going insane if I start to see a bunch of threads titled "got mine!" before the 19th and I haven't "got mine" yet.

I'm guessing Apple and UPS have the timing down and are holding the pallets until tomorrow. Hopefully people here will let us know when their unit indicates it's hit the U.S. It will have a date certain delivery date by then.

Everybody's FAN account provides different discounts, rates, etc. So what I get may not be what you get. For example, I know some that get an activation credit, waived activation fee, and stuff like that.

I actually had an Apple Gift Card that I was going to use to order my iPhone, but then I realized that I could use Premier to get a discounted plan rate, etc. As a new customer, I figured it would just be easier going straight to the source (AT&T) that buying through Apple, going to the AT&T store and trying to get the default plan changed to the FAN account, a refund of the activation fee and all that.

But now that I don't know when I will be getting my phone (even though I ordered on the 10th -- well the 10th according to Premier and the 11th according to wireless.att.com ---, maybe should have just ordered from Apple. :rolleyes:
 
Got my tracking number from the AT&T store. Hasn't been scanned by UPS though but I'm not worried =]

Mine just had the phone and freight .. but now its just 'freight' with the tracking number..

Imagine how many phones they can fit on one of those cargo ships?!?! That boat better have clear sailing.

i'm getting upset that people who ordered from :apple: days after me have tracking info and i don't :mad: (there.... i feel better not that i've whinned about that! :rolleyes:)

If UPS is using boats then those are might fast ones. Of course, I'm pretty sure their fleet only consists of planes.

We'll at least you are not alone. I ordered hours after the Keynote ended and still at not shipped status. But we'll all rec by Fri. so no big unless that doesn't happen.

These are some odd posts. So what if you just got something from Apple that was shipped via Fed-Ex? That does not rule out that they may use UPS on occasion. Perhaps UPS gave them a lower price on shipping these for some reason.

Reminds me of an odd experience I had with Dell a few years back when ordering a laptop.

I ordered a laptop and paid for overnight shipping. Even with that the delivery date was a couple weeks out due to the build time (this was a new model.) I received a shipping number prior to the expected delivery date and was excited to think that I would be getting the laptop early. What actually happened though was that the laptop sat in tennessee until a day before the expected delivery date and THEN was shipped overnight to me.
 
I can't believe we have someone on here who thinks UPS is going to put these on a boat and get them here by Friday. Duurrrrrr. Do you think UPS has cigarette boats or something?
