over at the ATT forums, a guys said at 5ish pm today..

"I just called ATT and they told me they just received their shipment and orders are being processed NOW.

My order has not been processed yet, and I ordered June 9, ~6 AM EST."

So maybe there is a small glimmer of hope we are not gonna get hosed. :)

Hang on, ordered the 12th and shipping and tracking are working...
 
For backorders

For those of you with backorders showing up on the order status page this means that your iPhone will BE PROCESSED THIS FRIDAY. It may not actually ship this Friday.

I ordered 2 AM est (Friday 12th) through the Premier site.

track using boxoh.com or packagemapping.com for better results and for more accurate scan info.

ALSO: SOMEONE TRY USING THE UPS WIDGETS APP (just google UPS Desktop Widget).

If there IS an exception, it will show up on there. I don't know why, but it almost always does if there isnt one online...

I live in kentucky ordered it on the 13th but no tracking info. is it possible one of the iphones on that plane landing in kentucky could be mine even though no tracking info showing up on apple.com?
 
mine is in AK also, now we wait for customs clearance and sometime in teh wii hours of the morning it will go to the lower 48's

my last shipment on UPS from China went

There are companies that sell rubber bands, staples, and soap that have 100 times the power of Apple. They are like a fly on UPS's shoulder. You painted this "If we pay you scenario" which did not happen and wouldn't happen. Apple doesn't care that much about their phones to pay THAT much. If I paid that much I could have your individual iphone delayed and all of your friends plus they would pay for me to fly out there and tour their facilities. They might even name the facility after me. Anyways...UPS is more powerful than Apple and Apple wants the phones delivered in a 3 day window cause thats all they hope for.
 
Just activate the find my phone feature on your new phone and track it live in mobileme!! Come on folks, if you can activate tethering, this should be a no brainer! :) :p :eek:

That usually means that it's ready to go but hasn't gone through UPS' facilities yet. You'll be ok, I'm sure.

ATT UPS Tracking Number-A Little Progress

Finally saw that "Billing Information Received", and is is being sent next day Super Saver. Doesn't sound like the package is on the move though. Going to local ATT shop, and at least the city was right.

Here is hoping everyone gets theirs on-time or early.

Thanks i was thinking about ordering one for my gf but i dont know when her contract with att is over. I was wondering is it possible to order the iphone under say my name and then once i receive it just give it to her and her activate it on her account. Or are they going to arrive ready to go out of the box. I'm sure somewhere along the lines you have to connect it to itunes servers to activate it like the 2g iphone... Does anyone know?

Well is anyone's departure from AK showing up on boxoh.com or packagemapping.com? Mine certainly isn't; just the arrival in AK, which mirrors the UPS tracking site.

Does your UPS Tracking page have a Departure scan from Alaska? Mine still doesn't.

And caligurl I'm sure your iphone will be leaning up against my iphone for the remainder of the flight.

If you're not home, grab the door tag left by the driver (or just use your tracking number) and call the 1-800-PICK-UPS number, speak the word "Agent" and tell him or her to place the package on "will call." You can generally go to the local UPS center at 9pm the same day and pick it up in person.

But can you imagine the load it would put on UPS to have to handle each delivery twice or the volume at the will call? It would cost them a lot of $$$ if too many fall into this scenario. It could be a nightmare for them.
 
let say if we do get our iphone 3gs on friday. do we get a tracking number tomorrow from apple.
