Not that I need it at all because I type perfectly on the iPad but the keyboard in the cover is kinda cool. I will say and I can't believe I'm saying it but it is actualy a good idea.

You do know they just skim off the top 10% of the richest people on the planet and that's enough for them ;)

They don't cater to the poor and their pricing shows. It's like asking ferrari to make a car that competes with honda for $22k. Ferrari will tell you to go f'yourself.

Wait, they do make a ferrari branded laptop - and my friend owns one! He can't wait to ditch it for a new MBPR 15.

The iPhone is the Toyota Camry of the smarthphones, not the Ferrari. Everyone has one. Every teenage kid in the country has one. In a couple of weeks you will be able to buy one at 7-11. Now that's upper class. ROFLMAO!! You are entertaining, I'll say that.

In 12+ years of Windows use, I haven't seen the registry corrupt itself on me. Who's right and who's wrong here?

Same. I've heard stories about the registry having issues that seem plausible according to my experience with it, but total corruption is an exaggeration.

Have yet to see any of the problem listed above on my Mac (in 5 years of use), and forget about my iPads (in 2 years of use).

Then you don't use your Mac or you're lying, plain and simple.

OS X has kernel panics, beach ball freezes, permission corruption, hard disk fragmentation on HFS like Windows has on NTFS, etc, etc, etc

So now Apple prices it high because it cares about the poor? I'm going to bet that they priced their hardware like that because they KNOW people will buy it EVEN if they're poor. Heck, isn't that why some teenage sold his kidney for an iPad and an iPhone?

You aint seen nothing then. I have used Windows since it was a runtime for PageMaker, supported lots of Windows Servers and Workstations since Windows 3.0, and I have seen Registry corruption several times, not to mention all the other issues I have listed before.

What's with Microsoft saying "Coming soon"? Whenever Apple announces something it's available immediately. Also I did a google search for "microsoft surface" and found a Microsoft page saying "Welcome to Surface 2.0". What happened to 1.0?

Like the first iPhone....or IOS5...or IOS 6 for that matter.

And yet the "99%" hates Apple's tyranny. Apple made a great phone for everyone. Also, plenty of people who can't afford new Macs can afford old ones. Old Apple = low-end Apple. The 3GS is free with a contract.

as an apple fan i can only hope this succede...why?

Cause i want iPad to be better, and they can show it to windows.

Windows is unprepared, battery-life will suck and iOs 5 is better than windows 8 (I REALLY MEAN iOS5...because 6 man, that`s too much for windows to understand)

I didn't get Flashback. That virus only affected those users who voluntarily let the Trojan install by entering their credentials, users who got fooled to thik they were installing Adobe Flash Player; unlike Windows, where a Trojan has a lot of ways to come in, even without the user's direct approval.

And I don't have corrupt registry, DLL problems or viruses on my Windows 7 desktop. Now what?

And regardless how HOW it gets onto your Mac, the fact is that millions were infected and it took a long time to resolve.

I'd venture to bet that the majority of Windows users have never seen registry corruption.

Yeah, that flashback trojan that infect millions and took forever to get addressed really painted a bad picture for Microsoft... Oh wait...

That is nowhere near as bad as the malware problems in insecure Windows, but that guy is seriously exaggerating. MS has improved over the years.

To be honest I have been skeptical about this since the very first moment, but now I'm quite impresed with what Microsoft came up with. Bravo!

So if everyone watches Harry Potter movies, reads harry potter books, they are just tools? So you want to be the only one on the block with a smartphone and tablet that no one has?

Guess what, you have your wish come true! It's called Windows 8 Pro and RT. Wait, you can't buy it because it isn't coming out until....and it costs unknown.

Every teenage kids owns an iPhone because it's awesome. Just like I want to own a ferrari because it too is awesome. You can consider a ferrari like a toyota camry if you'd like. Every non-ferrari owner will think you are out of your mind ;)

Unless you are an AAPL investor, you should hope for mild competition. The ideal situation would be if MS somehow made a good tablet with one flaw that scared people away, then Apple upgraded their iPad.

I've never had any of those issues and I'm on my Mac 8-12 hours a day.

Right. Keep on praying. one day you will have to reformat that sucker just to get it to boot again.

You must either never install any programs or do anything of worth on the machine. Microsoft registry the absolute worse.
1 time in 12 years is pretty good. Actually, it's more like 1 day in 4380 days. More importantly, I hope you have bought a new computer by then.

There was that whole Beach ball of death debacle upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6. There are also grey screens of death that I get a few times a year. Hard drives get fragmented on Macs also.

Back when I was using Windows XP, I swore apple was garbage because I only used PCs and Windows.

Today, I understand why Steve Jobs is so amazing. I was blind for over 20 years using Microsoft crap.

Apple still uses Microsoft "crap". How do you like you're iCloud service?

This will not make the iPad better. Competition does not necessarily create better products from other competing companies. Look at RIM. Enough said.

I use my Mac everyday; in fact, I never turn it off. Besides normal maintenance, I don't run into any issues that would make me waste a whole day of work trying to fix, as it used to happen with Windows.
I only had 2 kernel panics in 5 years, caused by a faulty driver I was trying to install for a third-party product.
