You sir, don't know what you are talking about. No "agency" will utilise computers with consumer hardware for anything professional. Comparing a computer with mobile GPU, and low voltage Intel Core i7 with a Mac Pro running dual Intel Xeon, ECC memory and workstation graphics card is just plain stupid.

Please, not this BS again. The mac pro threads are filled with mac users who insist that iMacs are used in professional work. And they are correct.

I recently toured a couple of large agencies in Austin, and my sister's animation studio in LA and there were iMacs and macbooks galore. That is consumer hardware doing professional work. Not to mention that article on Mac rumors about IBM switching to mac. We don't get to pretend that MS's hardware is somehow beneath us when Apple is running laptop parts in all of their machines except one.

"professional work" I think he might not only talking about people in animation studios but also folks who do computational electromagnetic for a wireless power resonator or computational modeling of Ion thruster for the next deep space mission, etc. These folks require professional hardware.

How Innovative? It is just like the Samsung Syncmaster 152B which I used 20+ years ago!

6 out of 7 current macs are out of date, yet R&D spending is through the roof. Apple is a computer company. Why is there so little focus on this core segment. If tommorrow is not revolutionary, then Cook should step down. As a mac fan and major purchaser of mac for 25 years, i feel we are in the dark ages. Mac Pro and Mac mini are great examples of how to sabotage your own product. Mac Mini and Mac towers used to be great. Now they have been Cook-ed.

I see so many comments about oh it runs Windows so no way. Well OSX has gone to **** the past few years, the last decent OS Apple made was Snow Leopard imo. I find it hard to move away from OSX aswell but if Apple does not improve OSX soon it may be the final straw for me. Windows 10 is actually not bad at all.

If only I had the desk space for a 28" desktop. It's why I could never buy an iMac, because I don't have room. All I have room for is a less than 20" monitor to hook up my MBP to.

But seriously, that Surface Studio *drool*

Amazing how similar computers look nowadays to Apple products invented (and still sold) 5 years ago.

I don't follow you. Did you mean to say, "It's amazing how Apple's computers look so much like Apple's computers from five years ago." Apple isn't innovating computers anymore. The Surface Studio is innovative.
