interestingly enough, with all the iPhones I've used, I could not replicate the issue no matter what i did. hmmm
Amusing. The iPhone can be fixed with a very small strip of duct tape. There wasn't enough duct tape in the world to fix Vista.![]()
All this over a phone?

Computerworld reports that Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner today compared Apple's iPhone to his company's much-maligned Vista operating system, suggesting that Apple might be headed for a similar experience to that of Microsoft in terms of customer response and criticism.According to the report, Turner also took the opportunity to poke fun at the iPhone 4's signal issues in promoting Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 7 operating system.Turner's comment follows a full-page ad in The New York Times from Verizon and Motorola promoting the Droid X by poking fun at Apple CEO Steve Jobs' recommendation that iPhone 4 users "just avoid holding it in that way."
Meanwhile, a new survey from ChangeWave Research shows just 2% of respondents who are planning to buy a new smartphone in the June-August timeframe looking to buy a Windows Mobile phone, while 50% are planning to purchase an iPhone. The survey was, however, conducted before the iPhone 4 was released and its signal issues became known.

OK guys, Name ONE SINGLE SPECIFIC known problem with Vista that hasn't already been fixed. The problems were always just hype.
Are you guys forgetting the Apple COVER UP of this problem saying it's a SOFTWARE ISSUE? Also, for those who say that the iPhone is fixed by a simple RECALL - Are you serious? Yeah, that makes it a small issue.![]()

And it doesn't matter how great your OS is (assuming it's that great to begin with) it's the hardware that matters with reception.
I don't have the signal issues. Maybe MacRumors should put up a poll.
After everything else, though, it's iOS and Android that will control the smartphone market. People use Microsoft on their computers because they are short on options. In the mobile world, Microsoft has continued to miss the boat. They no longer understand the market and are unwilling to figure it out.
Microsoft didn't exactly come up with a quick fix for it, for a while. There was also a denial period of an issue. It took quite a bit of time. To tell you the truth, the only real fix for Vista came as Windows 7.
What is it then? Some sort of blank slate?you must have missed the memo. iPhone is faaaaaaaaar more than a phone.
Microsfot Dude talking about the iPhone 4 problems: Perfectly OK
Microsoft Dude saying it's like Vista: Shows he's clueless.
They SHOULD be talking about iPhone problems. But they should do it in a way that shows they're smart. This wasn't it. To put it another way, they should use this opportunity to be PROMOTING mobile Windows. Not showing their ignorance. Way to squander and opportunity.
it's still a bloated piece of crap os my windows xp ran faster on my windows pc that i had than vista did
if only we could fix vista with duct tape
