The latest stable DropBox update is available for Apple Silicon, too.

Looking at how OneDrive, Google Drive, & DropBox are setup, both OneDrive & Google Drive set the Folder location to an actual mounted drive:
/Volumes/OneDrive
/Volumes/GoogleDrive

But DropBox still sets the folder to the '/Users/User/DropBox' folder.

Also, it looks like all 3 of these apps can be listed in the Finder's Favorites section. Google Drive & OneDrive were only showing up in 'Location' at the bottom with my other drives. At some point that must have been changed in an update because I wasn't able to drag them up to Favorites. Now everything seems to be behaving 'normally' again.

Can confirm that Mac App Store version has just been updated to 22.033.0213.0002 but it is still Intel-only. This is all so unnecessary confusing. It also means even Dropbox beat OneDrive to it...

Do you think we need to delete and reinstall it? Weird that the version is still Intel only.

AppStore updated yesterday to 22.033.0213.0002 but it's still showing as Intel in Activity Monitor.

This update must have been pulled. I still haven't received it, some have, and the ones who have are reporting it's not AS-native.

Came here to complain about 22.033 update still not being native. What is going on?

Given this is the only non-native app I use that runs constantly I do want it updated which should help battery life.

Glad to know I'm not the only one still having the Intel version after updating. I don't even dare to resync everything 1st even though there is the option to make all folders available.

Still no app update. Would be nice if Microsoft would provide more details. MacRumors also needs to update their original article about this version being AS-native. @arn

A statement from Microsoft

We are still rolling out the Apple silicon version for the standalone app. Once that is done, we will roll out to the Mac App Store. I don't have a timeline to share at this time but we'll make sure to update the release notes.

22.022 is the version we consider GA for the Apple silicon build. Like other features, we are rolling out gradually and this specific feature affects how we install so we only expand the audience when we roll out a new version. It will take several releases before we automatically migrate 100% of the Production ring. In the meantime, you can download the standalone build here if you want it sooner: OneDrive release notes (microsoft.com).

Every time there is an update in the App Store i get excited for nothing..
I came here just to say that. What the hell is wrong with Microsoft? I don't want to use their s*** launcher and updater, just put it on the App Store already.

I know many won't like it but I can't wait of the day Apple stops x86 Rosetta as that forces every developers hand.

I reached out to Microsoft

We are glad to have rolled out the native support for the M1 chips and proud to have loyal customers, like yourself, looking forward to using it.
As with all deployments, this is being rolled out in phases and currently is on the "Rolling out" phase with updates being released in waves. As new features become available, they're rolled out over a period of time to all subscribers. This means not all customers will receive the new features right away, but you can expect it to come to your device soon.

You may find more info and confirm when these features are fully launched, and available to everyone when this release enters the "Launched" phase on the M365 Roadmap. Please see the link below;

My new 16" M1 Max MBP arrived and I'm trying to set it up with all native mac apps first. I noticed that even if you download OneDrive from the Mac App Store or direct from microsoft it is requiring Rosetta2 to run. Not sure what I'm missing here as so far nothing else has required it.

Is part of OneDrive still Intel?

Microsoft said that the M1 version is rolling out gradually, and for some reason, the version on the Mac App Store is still Intel only for now. They will probably update it with the M1 version soon. If you download it directly from the Microsoft website, you'll get the M1 native version.

I downloaded it from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/download and it still required Rosetta2. Is there a differnt link for the M1 version of OneDrive?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Apple Silicon OneDrive is still in the "Rolling Out" phase.

The link below lets you download the Apple Silicon version. Look for "Standalone for Apple Silicon devices"

I downloaded it from the UK page (link) and it didn't needed Rosetta
This link worked for me. https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2188758 Thank you for your help got to love Microsoft making it complicated to get the M1 native verison of OneDrive. Now just need Teams and Adobe Crative Cloud (Photoshop and Lightroom Classic are M1 I know but seems Creative Cloud app isn't) and I will have most of my everday workflow native M1 ARM which would be fantastic.
