Ah sorry! I was being somewhat sarcastic. I actually missed a decently important email due tot he outage and I'm just as irate as the other members of this forum, but I am relieved that there's nothing wrong with my hardware.
I'm not sure it is just us. But my boss and I have nothing working on our iPhones at the moment. Others with blackberry's are still getting mail but can't browse? Seems weird.
Hmmmm...MobileMe seems much snappier right now. Could it be?

You get mail because you get mail from a Blackberry server. You don't get data because that comes from AT&T.
The pipes are clear (thats why you can make voice calls), but the servers on the AT&T side are down (EDGE, 3G). But data being delivered from another server (Blackberry email server) still works.
still no service in central jersey. spoke to ATT, they confirmed they are having problems. they won't credit until the services has been down for at least 2 days. while I love what the phone is capable of, the performance is lacking considerably.
I don't think AT&T's confirmed it but I do know my 3G Laptop card and Blackberry (both on ATT) are unaffected.
From what the forum says, and what the tech person at AT&T said, it's only iPhones. I don't get why it would only be iPhones, but the person i spoke with seemed to have thought so.
No. A co-worker has an ATT crackberry and is having the same problem. (Baltimore)
It's because they are stupid over there...why oh why did I entrust my cell and data service to a bunch of morons??? I am REALLY regretting my switch from Verizon right now.
AT&T should PROACTIVELY credit everyone on the east coast for the day's data AND issue a heartfelt apology from the CEO.
Anything less is poor business practice and amounts to them smearing sh*t in our faces.
On monday in Utah service was down all day never had that happen to me before plus my wife and sister and brother in law and friends phones were all doing the samething some of them with out iphones. I called ATT and they said it would be a couple of days but the next day when I woke up I was up and working fine.
Crackberries have their data routed through Canada (it's the only way to keep the US government users data safe, lol).Thus EMAIL on crackberries should work fine but the web if it utilizes AT&T will not work.

Anybody else burning through their battery today? Mine is down to ~30% in 4 hours. Just check my usage and it says 2hrs 50min since last full charge which was 4 hours ago. Therefore, even though I have been in meetings most of the morning and not using the phone usage is ongoing.
Is it trying to constantly check for data and not getting connected? I just turned off my push and set other mail accounts to manual hopefully it will get me through the day without a dead battery.

Yes. My battery is already at 1/2 and it is "hot" to the touch from the pinwheel spinning!!
