You can always get DirecTV.:p

Why bother watch the Padres. They will probably lose.

Have it, don't feel like dropping the extra $ on it. I honestly want to just get rid of the friggin' thing because we don't watch much, if any TV.

I'm watching the DODGERS. Eff the Padres.

Does MLB have deals with the isp's for MLB.TV. I can imagine how fast it would take to hit Time Warners caps.

I went to opening day (thought it was going to be rained out, but the weather cleared) and the Giants won, so all is right with the world for at least another 24 hours. Timmy pitched like crap, but the hitless wonders hit. They hit a lot, in fact. Enough to score 10 runs. Now, if they can score 10 runs a game for the next 161, the Giants stand a chance of having a very good season.

Happy opening day everyone. Yeah, I know some of you got the jump on us and started early. I hate that. ;)

Beating the Yankees two games in a row! Hoot! Hoot!

If this comes across as gloating, then apologies in advance, but I'm sure the frustrations of Orioles fans over the last dozen years have been well documented. If we dropped the next 160 games, we'd still have a very satisfying highlight reel.

At any rate, I wanted to share this. I suppose it's about the same for every team, but my bones tell me there's something anthropologically significant about rock 'n' roll mixed with irrational optimism. If there's any justice in the world, these guys will be rich.

The last time the Yankees started 0-2 was in 1998, and we all know how that season ended.

Just heard about this on the pregame, he pitched the night before too. Tragic story.

Giants' rookie pitcher Joe Martinez got struck in the forehead by a line drive hit by Mike Cameron in today's game against the Brewers.

He ended up walking off the field under his own power, but they better have taken him straight to the hospital in case he suffers any internal bleeding.

That was one of the worst hits I have seen in a long time. He had no time to even throw a glove at it. It is amazing that it doesn't happen more often.

The Giants have posted an update on Joe Martinez's condition. He is going on the DL for 15 days and has a concussion with hairline fractures on the right side of his head. Scary stuff, but the kid looks to make a full recovery.

Phillies World Series ring

Did you guys see this?

I don't think rappers would wear it.

But aside from being ugly, this factoid (from the AP) struck me:

The 103 diamonds total 3.84 karats. They represent the 92 regular-season wins and 11 postseason victories.

103!?!?! That's such a basketball thing to do. Not baseball. As if winning the World Series isn't enough, they have to pad the record with postseason wins to get the total over 100.

ugh.

all of these opinions are appreciated, however they mean nothing. it's been 6 years therefore it's time for the MARLINS to win the world series again :)

the best team in baseball.... 4 games in:D

Why did the Red Sox change the logo on their caps. I liked the B better. They are also changing their away uniforms to blue lettering and having something like 5 alternates. Red Sox with blue?

I think the Phillies and Yankees will see epic failures this season. the red sox and dodgers look good and the cubs will fold as usual. go mets!

all of this is contingent on injuries of course

its just their alternates that have blue in them and have the socky symbol. there primary uniforms look more like throwbacks and still have the B
