I have no idea whats going wrong with safari, you mean if its working with firefox  Everything is up to date and I'm running 10.5.4 on a August 2007 2.8Ghz iMac. Well all I can say to apple is this launch has not been great and I hope you fix it soon :apple: I have tried reseting/reinstalling/deleting catches and nothing works so IF ANYBODY HAS ANY IDEAS OF HOW TO GET SAFARI 3 or 4 TO WORK WITH MOBILE ME PLEASE POST  If it is any help I have installed the mobile me update and did that last night around 8pm AEST (Brisbane, Australia:cool:)

BTW the problem is almost forgot rofl that the buttons in mobile me don't work like the mail, calender ect. the only buttons that do work are the ones within mail.

Do you have Safari 3 and 4 installed on the same system? If you do then the install of Safari 4 may still be the problem.

Can anybody else with Safari 4 confirm this?

MobileMe

Able to sign in to MobileMe at 7:44 a.m. EDT U.S. Still cannot sync my iDisk. Here is the latest error message, which doesn't seem to be ebtirely accurate:

MobileMe web applications not yet available.
The MobileMe transition is underway but is taking longer than expected. While core services such as desktop mail, iDisk and sync are available, the new MobileMe web applications are not yet online. Thank you for your patience as we complete the upgrade.

I'm just wondering is apple gonna need to get a fail whale like twitter has?

Nope uninstalled it then reinstalled it + tried it on a macbook pro runing 10.5.4 with safari 3 - the only version ever to be installed

Mother grabber! I was able to sign in but now it's taking forever.

I feel bad for the new iPhone customers who will be sold on MobileMe in the Apple Store, only to come home and find the thing not working. I forget that aspect of it (seems a lot of us are used to it by now coming from .Mac).

Last year, with the iPhone release, it took almost a full weekend for some people to even activate their phones. This could be a long weekend for customers and Apple folks alike.

Steer clear of anything Apple for a few days, I say!

I've noticed that when I go to the me.com page (and I just tried using camino for the frst time, with no me.com cookies) that it actually says
'Invalid member name or password.'
before I even type anything in. I wonder if it's pre-rejecting me to reduce load.

Anyway, people, I know this is isn't ideal, but it's hardly a disaster, or even a particularly big deal. Get some fresh air, and when all your iphones work in a week (or a day, or now as many people are reporting), this will all seem like a waste of typing...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I am trying to upload 2gb of photos and it is very very slow

Yep i am able to sing on but the site is slow, PC sync fails when doing contacts and i cannot post a web gallery from my mac.

well.. this morning, i've been able to:

- successfully login
- browse every page without a crash (though to go to different pages i've had to right click - open link in new tab)
- send and receive email via the actual web interface
- see my calendar which just synced.
- see all of my last updated contacts.

looks like we're finally headed to full functionality.

I have feeling once Apple OFFICIALLY releases the 2.0 firmware update that things will improve dramatically. You all have been beta testers for the last day. All mac users thank you.

Does everyone get sent to the iDisk page when logging in?

I'd much prefer it to send me straight to the Mail page but I can't find a preference setting for that anywhere. Anyone know how?

Trouble uploading files using Win/Firefox - Solved

I was having trouble uploading anything into iDisk using Windows Firefox. Pressing the Choose button did nothing. Worked great in Safari though.

Finally realized I had the Flashblock add-on installed and enabled in Firefox to block flash content. Once I either disabled it or added www.me.com to Flashblock's white list everything worked great.

BTW there was never a problem downloading or moving anything.

Just wanted to pass this along to anyone that might run into a similar situation.

Keith

As of this morning I've been able to use most of the web services and have verified that my iDisk has now doubled in size.

That said, I'm still not getting the update in System Preferences and my control panel still says .Mac despite having all the new information loaded into it.

calendar and ical mobileme update

Calendar to iCal works like a charm for pushing event changes.
iCal to Calendar is about 6 minute delay!!!

Anybody get same results?

Fingers crossed

All former .Mac services appear to be fully functional at 8:20 EDT (-5 GMT). Haven't tried push yet.

Ghost iDisk?

Goodmorning everybody...

This morning, it seems to be working for me. However, my desktop shows one iDisk with the MobileMe logo, and a second one (no logo on this one) with 20GB storage...
This ghost iDisk appeared when I double clicked this DMG.

Syncing?

Going to http://www.mac.com produces this maintenance message:
This service is temporarily unavailable.
We are currently performing scheduled maintenance.
Normal service will be restored soon.

http://www.mobileme.com redirects to apple.com/mobileme/ - the apple ad for the service. I thought something might redirect me to the correct url.

Finally tried http://www.me.com and found the service.

Sync apparently isn't up yet as the System Preference panel .mac doesn't show it as available. How do we know what computers it will sync with? I have 4 that have been synced in the past.

Powerbook 10.4.11 + others
