Where is the MobileMe idisk share files functionallity?

I mean I cant find that 'Share Files' Button!

I was wondering that too. I looked at the iDisk help files on me.com, and when you click the link that is supposed to explain how it works, it says unknown url. Also, all the iDisk help videos (or at least most from what I can see) have been changed to exclude this feature. I'm wondering if Apple is going to remove this feature??? I hope they don't though, cause i've been looking forward to that. :apple::apple::apple:

So this will probably sound dumb to most, but is quite informative for a few. Push contacts and calendars don't work on your iPhone/iPod unless you go into Settings>> Mail, Contacts, Calendars>> Mobile Me>> and then turn everything on.

So I was correct in that at some point everything will push to each other and I won't have to worry about manually syncing anything? The reasons you stated make sense. How would I know if I had the newest software update from Apple? Is it an actual OS X software update? I have the MobileMe software update (from the link posted in this thread, a few posts up I believe), though I'm not sure if that's the one you're referring to or not.

Its the mobile me software update, not an OS X Update.

No doubt it's informative but it's worthless without the OS X update. Unless you are only concerned about pushing from your iPhone to MobileMe (in this case, nothing to worry about). But, without that OS X update, nothing will work as far as push goes.

All of the OS X apps need an update to enable the push feature. Or, at least MobileMe preferences to enable that (same way it is on the iPhone).

At least they are making some progress because I'm finally seeing 20GB of storage for my iDisk now and it was 10GB every other time I checked today.

I got both of the MobileMe updates while they were up ;)

sup anyone else having an issue where the website lets you do everything, but the email part just spins loading?

you're not alone. i'm having that exact same problem. The only way i can send email through the MM web app (i can still do it through Mail.app) is by going to contacts and clicking the contacts email address. So it isn't a problem for me (thankfully). Just give it some time. It'll get better. :apple:

Mobile Meh

Lack of patience. Just do something else. Go out. Enter Reality.

Or have some sleeping pills. Everything will look better in the morning... Or sunday morning.

Hahaha The best part about this is "hours of trouble". Seriously? You rely that heavily on an iPod?

If you'd jumped on it a little faster you could have picked up the software v2.0 for free!

Plus the software update is available now (on the 11th), so the petition isn't much good.

MobileMe is finally up

Now its up.

You gotta go in through your .Mac account settings under your system preferences. It for whatever reason shows up. I guess they arent ready to let the floodgates open. Maybe it has to do with the itunes activation. Maybe their webservers are the same for itunes activations and where .mac is hosted.

MobileMe, truly telling you, is far from up. Its slow and grouchy.
NO PUSH ON MAC:eek:
The addressbook in new mail window doesnt work!
No share File!!:(

Seems like Apple's still got a lot of work to do. They're just taking a break for iTunes/App/2.0!

Push is working at the moment for me. I had a friend send me a YouTube link from his iPhone and I immediately got an email notification. Ten minutes later I sent myself an email from work and it took about 10 seconds to show up. I have my fetch set to manual and Push on, so it must be working.

We'll see how long :)

what about calendar/contacts?

I've been trying to figure this out too. Is it supposed to be delivered through Software Update? Will Apple send us an email with instructions? How is this supposed to work???

This is quite a mystery. I have never gotten the MM update through SU. In the back of mind I keep thinking someone at Apple actually forgot to post it and never will. :(
