As a frist time go live, there are glitches every time - but ones all these bugs are worked out; I think I can finally ditch me AOL and gmail.

No way would I ditch gmail...backup is a good thing, and with the old .Mac going down as often as it's done before, you'd be wise to keep yours up and running just in case. I don't know what the new attachment limits are, gmail has just been very dependable for this.

Same Here! Also when I was on this morning earlier it said there was a problem with the credit card on file. I have updated my card info and it was all up to date a month ago with .Mac. My account is up for renewal next month and there is no place on MobileMe to update or change credit card info like there was in .Mac. I emailed support but no response as of yet. Anyone else with this issue?
You have to sign up, but its free. Once you make an account, you go to downloads, and choose safari in the column at the far right.

Mobile me seems to be working fine for me. Set it up last night, let it sit. Woke up today and still hadn't synced yet.
So i deleted the account under settings, then under settings again I added it. It then immediately synced and all was well. Tried the push email, worked great.

With that share file feature (that's not working) you can send files up to a gig in size.
You bet. And seems like Apple's no intention of offering one of the best features anytime soon. They've pulled it off their support servers as well!!!

You can also use quickshareit.app which is free. Just upload it there and send a link to your friends. I use it to upload .eps and .ai files all the time for work.

It's the second day mobileme is out, CTFD. It's a feature that was advertised, and it will be working shortly.
Well my iDisk doesn't work now, anyone else having problems? Apple seriously needs to get this service up and running and leave it alone. The whole fiasco back when Leopard launched caused me to lose all my old email and completely screw up my calendars. It took me weeks to get it all fixed and if they pull this crap once more I'm not renewing.
It looks as though mobileMe is essentially .mac with a new icon right now. I suppose the new features will take a few days to filter through and run smoothly. No worries. This has been a crazy few days for Apple - must be one of the biggest internet launches in history with iPhone 3G in 24 countries, iPhone 2.0, MobileMe, Touch upgrade etc. Not surprising that things aren't all smooth sailing. In hindsight it might have made sense to launch in different countries on different days and have iPhone 2 upgrade and MobileMe available a few days beforehand. Still, despite the one day of serve chaos, I'd say its actually gone pretty well.
Still no software...
I loaded it yesterday on my MacBook and again today when they re-released it. But everytime I step back to my iMac the software is gone. Says Software is up to date. Not. Crud.

Called Apple support... they said they know nothing about it needing software. You believe that!!! So I insisted they transfer me to MobileMe. Then I get, they don't take calls. Well they did this morning at 9:00am. Left hand hasn't met the right hand yet.

Ok mine is up and running at what I assume is full speed(its much faster) and It is Gorgeous. =) I love the account section. It shows everything you would need in there, I especially like the part where you can see how much bandwidth your site has used.
The only thing that doesn't work still is "groups" and no software update.

My still hasn't prompted for an update yet?? Do I even need to upgrade this to use yet? I don't think push is working yet, as it took almost a minute to hit my phone!

You need the update for "Push"/sync to work correctly. My MB is working perfectly... iMac screwed up without the update.
