More Claims of Smaller, Square iPod Nano Next Week, Along With Possible 3G iPod Touch and iLife

Isn't T-mobile 3G different (1700 uplink) than the one for AT&T & most worldwide companies, thus a 3G anything wouldn't be able to run in that network.... then for Sprint I guess you must be in a 4G area to be able to use the 3G technology... :rolleyes:

Unfortunately Al-a carte may be a bit off for us consumers as for the near future in any of our media/communication life. with the exception of Netflix. But we are getting closer :)


Edit: I know Netflix is not quite Al-a-carte, but pick the lowest unlimited plan and get unlimited streaming
 
Only time will tell. I can see a lot of "Negatives" on the front page already. We shall see. :D

On another note I wonder what the "new" application will be. And I guess I'm the only one who likes iDVD.

NO! to the 3g iPod Touch! I want a touch screen device BIG ENOUGH (i.e. possible small nano touch or w/e) not to pay monthly.

yes but if you use skype do you get a real phone number or can you only talk to other people with skpe?

bush didnt ruin the economy. people spending money the didnt have did. the fed printing money that wasnt backed by anything did. the government bailing out banks and car companies with money that we didnt have did. people buying houses they couldnt afford did. banks giving people loans they knew the people coulndnt pay did. one person cannot make or break the economy. its ludicrous to think so. and all of the socialist stuff that the obama admin. is doing isnt going to fix it either. redistribute the wealth? thats called communism and if you think thats a good plan just look at what russia looked like before they went capitalist. the only wealthy people are the government and everyone else is dirt poor.

and why would they go back to the old nano design? does apple ever regress like that?

Ya that's true. I am having mixed feelings on whether I would like the nano smaller and with a touchscreen or how it was before though. On the one hand, a touch screen one would be a lot smaller but you would always have to look at the screen to change a song etc. Unless they put some sort of controls on the headphones.

I want to be able to afford other things and not have pay monthly on every damn thing that I have.

I was and still fit into the "working poor" catagory, but this is about Ipods...
 
At least here, the sound quality using Skype is not nearly as good as the regular phone quality. I remember the US phone quality to be pretty poor so maybe the difference isn´t that big over there.

I think the majority still would by an iPhone, and maybe the kids and tech geeks would use a touch for a phone.

How would you send SMS? 3rd party app? Apple could just stop such an app and you would have to jailbreak. that would stop some of the kids from using a touch as a phone I suppose

I'm thinking the "new" app may not be an app at all, but rather iLife of iOS devices. It will work one and one with the mac iLife and even mobile Me.

this may not ever happen, but I do wonder if Apple will ever create a competitor to Windows Live and offer iLife on Windows?

Then theres always what I said and iLife be digital only. $29 (like Snow Leopard) and you have an option to upgrade to the "pro" verisons of iLife for an additional $20. Pro editions could have more advanced features.

dude I pay a lot of monthly bills and I still like the idea of buying gadgets w/out extra monthly bills for their complete use... why pay extra for something I don't want on it! (model it's a tier hardware structure for apple)

What do we know of Chris: Born 1990 (MR), he has ipod touch 2g & Ipad, WANTS iphone 4, had an ipod touch 1g (GDGT), has no job (twit 23hrs ago)... I feel you times are tough, but chill a bit :) (5sec google search)
