yes but if you use skype do you get a real phone number or can you only talk to other people with skpe?
I have the same question. If there existed a 3G iPT, and you used skype, you could call other skype users, or real phone numbers (for a fee), but as far as I know nobody would be able to call you? Only other skype users. I think if you pay you can tie your skype account to a phone number to receive incoming calls, but that would require you to have a phone number in the first place (i.e., cell phone plan- thus negating the need to use 3G iPT as a phone).
That said I still don't think they would make a 3G iPT. Oh and if they did, expect to pay an extra $100-150 for the feature, making the price difference between it and the iPhone to be not as large as you may think.
always wants simplicity, especially for their new customers; I think right now the ipod line has too many choices of size and style and the normal joe or mom wouldn't be able to decide which to pick; my prediction is that they will make this new smaller ipod nano a reality and eliminate the shuffle altogether from the line and just follow that same line of thinking for the rest of the line!
