Agreed. The Mac Mini is wonderful little machine.. but its price point is quite strange. Yes it is the cheapest mac available, but I am sure many individuals just say screw it and fork out the couple hundred extra and get a 20 inch imac..... Or is that the point?
How is that wrong? I loved the old imac. It was wayyy sexier than the current one. Plus the current one has black plastic on the back, so if plastic is wrong than so is the current one.

for the macmini, i think there should be 2 lines.
like one with a box, and one with a tower the box price point $489
and the tower should be $699 and wipe out the high end mini.
I think it would be funny to see no MBP updates just for the sheer entertainment value of the uproar on Mac Rumors!

Apple needs to come out with replacements to the Mac Mini (i.e., not new Mac Minis) that meet what people want.
It's not about expansion, apart from HD and RAM access. It's about being decent enough as a baseline product.

Hoping that 26th is the tuesday I´ve been waiting for for so long.
Originally I was waiting for a 12" MacBookPro. When I finally understood that's not going to happen EVER, I decided to buy an 15" MBP. In december I bought an iPod Classic without having read the system requirements. As I am still om my 12" PB with Panther I have not been able to use my iPod yet.
Patient? Yes, I will be waiting as long as it takes to get the MBP update.
But it would not exactly hurt if this tuesday is the day

I've recently taken the decision that Apple is right for me - like most techies, shiney and new is appealing so here I am waiting for the new MBP before getting my wallet out - however my desire for shiney and new is telling me I need a mac now.
I'm torn between waiting and buying - I can afford to wait but I might not be able to hold out much longer.
Really hope Super Tuesday is going to be more than just TC.
My MBP wishlist: MagLatch, Multi Touch Pad, MB Keyboard, LED Display - Seeing the products already on the market, I don't think these are too much to ask from the high end laptop.

I wish - the biggest frustration with my Touch is not being able to tap something with the tip of my fingernail.
A stylus is much more accurate than a fat fingertip. Give us the option....
No, it would be Apple ignoring the ego of the CEO and giving us something that works. Just like the idiot stance of not allowing three-button mice - the "no stylus" rule from The Lord God Jobs is ignoring the requests of a number of (potential) customers.
Please show us two examples of laptops that are 3 inches thick.
Hmmm. I may just cave in and upgrade to a 17" MBP (from my current MB) pending the update and early adopter feedback.

I mean, all flash-based iPods (and iPhone) have seen speed bumps, the last one being the 2GB iPod shuffle, they'll probably introduce a 16GB iPod nano, and maybe reduce the 4 and 8GB's price.

I dont see it as a ruling from the "Lord Jobs", but more common sense. Certain technologies are phased out for a reason... the stylus being one of them. Its cumbersome, they are easily lost, and its just not practical. Who wants to have an iPod with an external input device?? The finger is such a more user-friendly method.
While I agree certain individuals would prefer a stylus, that market is certainly small and concentrated on tech boards such as this. The general public, including myself, seems to love the "Touch" concept.
No need to venture back into the mid 90's.
I know several MB users here want an update, however the MB and MBP are very close in power and features, yet the price difference is significant.
I could be wrong, but I think Apple is going to put distance between the MB and the MBP then wait another 6 months and then upgrade MB. I do not think you will see an upgrade for MB until Aug/Sept. An upgrade now for MBP and another Sept/Oct.
All I ask is no black color keyboard on the MBP, use silver pick what ever keyboard, just not black color please.

no they will trade my mbp cuz in the first month of use my hard drive start to clink then i took to the apple store and they changed!
but 1 week later its started again! i dont wanna more this!
they have to trade my mbp! i dont wanna trade eveytime my hard drive click!

Haha.. I'm in a similar situation. My "c" key doesn't work sometimes and I just got my MBP last week. I'm going to bring it back on tuesday regardless and get the updated one if it comes out. I'm just going to have to use and external for now.
This is my second new MBP. The first one I had would wakeup from sleep, and when it did my mouse would stop working. 3rd times the charm!!

It does - arn stated that it was not Time Capsule. It will be nice to see them ship of course.
