Sorry buddy, but until this model starts going downhill or interest starts to wane, Apple is doing the right thing by only changing the software. The actual hardware is still by far the best thing out there, so why fix something that isn't broken?

i mean, who cares that the new phone is going to be over twice as powerful as the last with more memory, storage..and a nicer camera..? i just care that it looks cool and I look cool when i have it.

Because people want the latest and greatest, especially when they can show, just by looking at the phone, that they have the newest version of something. Living in Southern California for most of my life has taught me this.

god i would LOVE a higher res screen..SO MUCH
i was just at the verizon store playing with the new LG enV touch...it has not one but TWO 800x480 screens(outer one is capacitive touch)..that are 3.2 inches i think..possibly even smaller (which is rediculous at that resolution)..id LOVE a 3.5 inch screen like the iphone but with 800x480...my dream phone..

He won't be cool enough because it's so last year with all the last year internal hardware... The new iPhone might probably look ugly compared to the 2008 3G one but I bet it would be faster or better yet... Support multitasking.

The iPhone pictured here is a 16GB model. Apple may make the 4GB and 16GB models with a black bezel and leave the fancier bezel on just the new 32GB Flagship model. I like the matte backing. I hope they keep that on all iPhones.
I heard a rumour of the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone lighting up. Most people dismissed this outright because it would just be a strain on battery and I tended to agree... But a thought just struck me: Hold on to your hats... WHAT IF the Apple logo performed double duty as a flash? If Apple was able to make the camera a higher megapixel one, and add a flash to it without drastically changing the back of the iPhone, I'd be very happy about that. It could also act as a pilot light for video recordings.

I just left an Apple store and of course I asked the question about the new Iphone ...the manger said that they are not expecting any new one...so I went to an Imac and opened and saved a picture of this mockup and enlarged it lol

Already knowing what features have been begged for on the software as well as the hardware side of the iphone , Will be fulfilled with the upcoming iPhone. Boasting an even more powerful processor next year and other little goodies next year.
But to speak upon this year, It does not matter to me what this new iPhone has in it. Once I get the "OK" from the WWDC announcement my 3G iPhone will be on ebay (It was recently replaced on April 4th of this year and has the squaretrade warranty, Otterbox case-just to name a little bit) , so if they released a new iphone in a week,ill be ready. Not selling it because of a new phone im selling it because im looking forward to some new goodies,possibly,hopefully!
I have used a Pre and it really does kind of suck. Multitasking is good but then the OS comes to a crawl. Random shutdowns and even cleared all the data off the phone and reset to default. Never had this sort of problem with any version of iPhone I have owned.

looks legit to me. i can't wait for the keynote tomorrow. last week, E3. this week, wwdc. excellent! the iphone has a long way to go though if they plan to compete directly with the psp. the graphics and controls and games are lightyears ahead of the iphone. seriously, you need buttons to play real games. time will tell. i think though that apple can compete directly with the wii, though. not any powerhouse current gen console.

Getting into a snit because Apple are doing something so lame like making the GPS antenna black instead of silver, so their precious iPhone won't show the whole world what a stupifyingly cool person you are. Get over yourselves. You just come across as totally self-obsessed. If you want a like, totally bling phone, then buy the latest crap Prada phone. Meanwhile the rest of us will carry on using the iPhone because it is probably the best, certainly easiest to use device of it's kind on the market. The fact it's sold as a phone only enables it to do things the Touch can't do, like stream Internet radio, use apps like Stanza, enable me to upload photos to Flickr or Facebook as soon as they're taken, google or wiki for info, or just be able to browse the net when I want. Plus I can play some of the 1000+ songs I have installed, or read one of the couple of hundred books I have on it. It's form is perfect for it's function, which is not to make self-obsessed clots feel better about themselves. Roll on V4 and even better functionality.

I hope Adobe's done a better job on that than Flash for Mac, it that is true. If the code is a mess, you'll be able to watch you battery drain right before your eyes.

It actually coincides with 1 image floating around on this site of the screen width of 16x9. Oh and FYI
If they increase the screen size or resolution it has no affect on applications.
Talk to a few Devs. and you will be told that Apple has said since last year to make applications work with diff. screen sizes and resolutions.
Few of my friends are devs and confirm the same statement that was told by Apple....
Any other Devs on the website have any input?
