More Speculation for Tomorrow: Beatles on iTunes

They aren't meant to be directly comparable to each other; only that the 4 clocks equal the four band members, and the hands of the clocks are in different positions as are the arms of the band members.

That's conspiracy logic, right there.

As much as I like The Beatles; I already have their stuff on iTunes. Ripped from my folks CDs and LPs. I imagine most Beatles fan have done that too.

Just feels a bit like "too little, too late".

If this is true then they are over-hyping everything.
Damn, just one more group on iTunes, not that amazing.
Whoop die ###ing doo.

Also, for those into hunting for more clues, Apple's teaser page features four clocks, each with the arms in different positions, (denoting the time of the announcement in California, New York, London and Tokyo time zones). Pretty unnecessary unless you compare it to the cover of the Beatles' "Help!" album, featuring all four members side by side with their arms also in different positions.
It would be more convincing if the times were the same as the arms! :p

Anyhow, I've largely given up on iTunes Store for music that I care about since I heard the difference between 256kbps and Apple lossless. Not that I care that much for the Beatles. (shrug)

All a bit of a 'so, what?'

Tomorrow Never Knows?

The Beatles Song: Tomorrow Never Knows

Apple website: Tomorrow is just another Day

;)

It's official now:

Update: The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are now confirming that Apple has in fact finally struck a deal with The Beatles and their rights owners and is preparing to announce that The Beatles' music will soon be available in the iTunes Store.

Really hope there's something more to it...

The Beatles are great but I really hope Apple has something more exciting in petto. Beatles on iTunes? I would probably have forgotten about it by tomorrow...

quallity ?

Maybe there gonna sell lossless audio files on itunes now, so i would be able to buy cd quality or even better from itunes, that might be the day i stop buying physical cedees and start downloading.

That for me would be something big indeed, but i'm not counting on it, since Apple/Jobs never had audio quality up there in the important list.

It seems like a hugely wasted opportunity if they aren't announcing anything at all other than The Beatles' music being on the iTunes store.

At the very least, if U2 and Harry Potter got their own themed iPods I would think The Beatles should be deserving of something similar (maybe all 3 iOS devices with content or something?).

While I am not going to go out and start purchasing Beatles music any time soon, this further legitimizes the digital iTunes music store as a means of buying all music. Everyone around the globe knows the Beatles so the reach is very large. I think of it as some positive reinforcement and good marketing.

Assuming this is true....

As good as the Beatles are, they are a band of yesteryear....

There would be a lot more oomph to this announcement if it were announcing that SONY was finally going to allow its content onto the Japanese iTunes Store!!

OR

Hollywood finally realised that in 2010, there is no need anymore to release movies at different intervals around the World and create problems with regional coding etc.

AND/OR

APPLE didn't have a US or French or Australian iTunes Store, just one international store where EVERYONE could buy ANYTHING. Now, that WOULD be news!!

They weren't anything special. Musically they were terrible. The only reason there was such a fuss was because they were the first of their kind.

If this is the big announcement then Jobs' head is even further up his own backside than I thought.

Haha. Funniest thing ever written on any forum.

People like you make it big. It is what it is, what you make it on the other hand is your fault only.

I could understand something like "tomorrow is a big day," and even that would be an overstatement, but a day "you'll never forget"?

JFK assassination, 9/11, iTunes announcement
