I recon as part of the deal apple needed to overhype it.
Also, anyone else noticed the grainy (noise) background to front home page

I could understand something like "tomorrow is a big day," and even that would be an overstatement, but a day "you'll never forget"?

JFK assassination, 9/11, iTunes announcement

Standard Apple hype. You should be immune by now and if you are not who's fault is it?

I cannot stand listening to The Beatles! The Rolling Stones will always kick their asses! :apple:

For those under 50, the Beatles vs Stones was a sort of proto-Mac-vs.-Win argument.

Except that it was far more profound; the supporters of either side of the argument demonstrated their allegiance by their hairstyles and clothes.

Anyway, Godwin's Law #2 will soon apply - i.e. the longer that all threads on MacRumors continue, the probability that they'll end up discussing BluRay becomes ever closer to 1.

Beatles would be nice. But I hope (though I don't believe it will come) for Lossless, and some really special extras for the beatles albums.

And btw, what I believe really is missing from the store right now, are concert videos! It would be very nice to be able to rent those instead of having to buy DVD/BluRay!

Tomorrow is a day you'll never forget. How can one forget a day that never comes?

Remember, Steve is a Buddhist. Think Deeper. :p

Dear Steve-

I never really cared that much for the Beatles, if this is the big announcement can I trade it in for a different one, perhaps 4.2 for my iPad?

Thanks
R

As a HUGE Beatles fan I'm certainly happy that this is finally happening, however how are they going to get people like me who owns the LP's (some of them anyway) and all albums on CD to buy them? My answer to that, unreleased material; Maybe this is the day we're going to hear Carnival Of Light for the first time? I wouldn't forget that.

tl;dr

found *one* interesting post tho...

Exactly. I mean, i don't know if i agree with your interpretation/conclusion or not... but almost no one has tuned into the fact that there are TWO separate sentences... and the implied meaning is quite different from what most people (want to) see.

You may be right.

Well... no. In germany the two sentences havn't that ambiguity. "Morgen ist ein ganz normaler Tag. Den du nie vergessen wirst." Re-translated it is more something like: "Tomorrow is just a normal day. Which you never forget." (is this correct english? *lol*) I want to say: it has just one meaning: "You will never forget this day", not "this (the day or the fact that tomorrow is another day) is something you'll never forget"

They grey background on on the Apple homepage with those white dots could be the start of some holiday decoration of the site. it could be snowflakes falling, as it's only on the upper half of the page.

Well, after this morning's revelations of Prince Williams engagement, Apple is going to have to pull something out of the bag that's quite extraordinary if it plans to top the days news!!! :p

As much I think alot of The Beatles songs are brilliant I find all this hype from Apple rather pathetic:rolleyes:

I'd see the point in all this hype if it was iOS 4.2 but all this on The Beatles finally being on iTunes (that most fans of The Beatles who use iTunes have in their CD collection) is very disappointing.:(

Tomorrow is just a normal day. One which you will never forget.

Calm down: nothing's happened yet!

They will come back tomorrow

Any people coming now on Apple websites will come back tomorrow for the big new info... they haven't updated the message... They should have foreseen a new message... Perhaps the word "Tomorrow" is very important for the communication.

On a side note: why on earth does it still reads "tomorrow" several times when in fact it's, well, today?

Maybe they'll leave it indefinitely? :)

The final marketing tool - a neverending hype-generating ad.

If this announcement is only about The Beatles, then yes, I´ll never forget this day, BECAUSE OF THE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
