Not sure why this is so secretive. Apple released a car back in 2006.

The same engineers keep getting hired back and forth between those companies. They aren't going to be giving radically different ideas at Apple that they wouldn't be giving to the other three.

I'd like to see some proof of this. From what I am seeing, Apple is pulling in a lot from the European car design community. Most distinctive is they are doing their best to ignore any Big 3 talent from Detroit.

pretty funny vehicle they even included the antenna stripes... thought Art Center was a top design school smh

Talk about spreading yourself thin and not focusing. Literally the exact opposite of what Steve Jobs did at Apple. Apple is not longer synonymous with 'it just works', not feeling a car from them.

To to clear up any doubt, before they announced iPhone, I was completely positive and knew they'd make something great. They did. Same with iPad. Can't say the same for their Watch or car.

Seems you haven't noticed that this abomination has nothing at all to do with Apple.

Whoever 'imagined' that car needs to go back to art / design school.
Maybe send them to taste school first.

It better not be autonomous, because it will definitely kill itself and everyone in it.
Looking like that, you couldn't even blame it.

Coming soon...Samsung Car.
Samsung couldn't design a car _that_ ugly. It needs a certain kind of talent to make something _that_ ugly. I mean that's dedication to ugly. It's not the kind of ugly that you create by having no talent, you need to be really good to create that ugly.

Someone help me understand something here that's bothered me for a while: How does "late night motor noises" indicate work on an 'electric' car? Aren't electric cars by nature much quieter than other autos?
That was the designers playing Kraftwerk's "Autobahn".

After looking at the outside, I expected the inside to be at least thought through. But no. Those seats look as uncomfortable and unsafe as possible. The divider prevents you from using it as anything but a 4 passenger car. Got a 3rd child? Leave her at home. Have something big to carry? SOL.

We know nothing about the Apple Car except that it's going to be a high-end, expensive luxury electric car, just like the Teslas. By then, rich people will have plenty of expensive luxury electric cars to choose from. Except to them, electric will have no benefit since they can afford any amount of petrol anyway.

The revolution will happen once we start seeing cheap, basic electric cars for the masses, and when buying a petrol car won't be worth it anymore, just like buying a film camera isn't really worth it anymore. It will mean that going somewhere will not cost anything and maintenance will be cheaper. It's not like soon everyone will have a Tesla or an Apple Car. That worked with smartphones but most people won't just be able to afford expensive luxury cars all of a sudden. The environment will only start to benefit once the majority of cars are electric, and the majority of those cars will be cheap, low end, just like they are now.
