I think it's ridiculous that this thread has jumped to page 7 in less than a day.Does anyone else want to chime in on competition being good?
I'd like to add that the cloudless daytime sky is blue.
I don't like the insult of calling any tablet just a giant XXX phone. Cause really what is the difference between iOS and Android tablets. Their both, if you really want to think of it that way, a giant phone. Almost identical software, usually same apps, but a bigger screen. But really that argument doesn't work against the iPad or Android tablets.

To me at least, it's the "just" part of it that irks me. It's not just a big iPhone or iPod touch. There are other features of it that are unique to it that you don't get on just an iPhone or iPod touch.I still don't understand why people constantly complain that they feel the iPad is just a big iPhone or iPod.
Maybe cool, but still from Motorola. I won't bother....

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)
Yes android phones are a compelling product that is almost an equal to the iPhone. Minus the polish.
I'd give the iPhone a 92 and a great android phone an 85. It's that close now.
Even then, I doubt we'll know much. They'll show it there (much like Balmer and the HP Slate), but most likely we won't know anything at all (really) about it.Its a teaser for CES2011. We'll hear more at CES and can scrutinise it then!![]()
Based on my experience with Motorola phones I would never want to go near any slate/tablet product made by Motorola. Worst OS ever on their devices.
I'm curious if anyone here can tell me what the iPad is good for? I mean, where does it fit in? It lacks the hardware to be a "computer" and it isn't a phone.
Besides email, internet and media - what's it good for? If you have an iPhone an iPad is rather redundant. If you have a notebook, an iPad is useless.
If anyone can answer that I would really love to hear it. I have yet to find a useful purpose for an iPad other than being a bigger iPhone that doesn't make calls.
I think the problem is, the iPad should have an OS on it and NOT iOS. That's the biggest downfall. it just falls short.
You mean like when Steve Jobs bashed at Android every chance he got?
Motoblur.uh, you mean Android? Most Motorola devices are running on Android 2.1 and up, fyi.
