You may have forgot how fast ios6 is. It's much faster then ios7. Trust me. My sister 5 on ios6 was faster then my 5s on ios 7.0.4. That all changed with 7.1 beta 2. They fixed up all this finally.

You might be right. I think after seeing all the videos they've finally listened to us. iOS 7.1 may be a great update. The speeds posted by one of the users in the 7.1B2 thread seem to match that of iOS 6. Also, the calendar is back. What else can I ask for? If they can address some of the BASIC bugs of iOS 7, I think 7.1 will be a solid update.

Can you please do me a favor and create another video where you just enter basic stuff without them running in the background. Basic stuff is phone, messages and settings. Those 3 should be good! So please without anything at all in the background ( Double check that while recording). Also I have another question about 7.1. Did they fixed the lag when you answer on a call? Now, it is like this, phone rings, you slide, wait about 0,7 seconds, then person can hear you.

Thanks and I'm sorry for bad English!

I can absolutely accept the iPhone 5 ran a little faster on 6, just like the 4S ran better on 5 and so on.. What I'm having trouble with is the idea that right now a 4S on IOS 6 is "much" faster than an up to date 5. That I just don't believe.

You'll see that on monday! Don't worry about that now :)

I think that that can be true. In all honestly. Ios 7.0.4 speeds are bad once you get use to them you may not notice but when going back to ios6 it's very noticeable. So I think that statement can be true

Every time I read these stories that describe how fast iOS 6 is compare to iOS7 makes me wonder if these people live in hyper-time mode!! I have used both, compared both and honestly can't find a difference on speed, except for the animation part which I quite like it!

Please all of you, wait for one more day, then you'll see side by side, doing normal every day stuff! After that you can see what I mean! iOS 6 was much faster!

Or others who aren't noticing it or perhaps just don't care are living in slo-mo. ;)

It's funny how people say it's not noticeable. It's quite evident - unless, like mentioned above, you choose not to care. Anyways look at this example. GF has an iPhone 5S, and it's her very first iPhone so she's loving it. After I got my phone replaced I showed her, just so she could the difference and even she noticed the difference. Bugs and glitches wise she's not really experiencing any problems yet (knock on wood), but she did notice the speed difference.

It's not a life or death scenario, but there is a difference.

Some ppl can't see the diff, even if you have them side by side and showing them step by step, at this point you're about to pop a vain.

After an hour, they will give you the "wow, you loose 2 secs for each command big whoppie" card.

Whats the "short timeframe" you keep mentioning? Do you have any idea how long iOS7 has been in the works? If so how long and how do you know? Don't say "its only been out for 90 days. That is not how long its been in existence, that's how long its been released to general audience. just curious of this defense. I agree with the other posters that Apple should learn from the past umpteen iOS releases 1-7.0.3 and 7.0.4 should be the BEST iOS ever. Clearly its not. While iOS 6 was a little dated it was WAY more detailed, user friendly and just overall professional looking and fluid.

i'm pleasantly surprised that iOS 7 was delivered on time considering the shake up at Apple with Forstall being ousted and Ive leading the iOS team. I do not see any traces of Forstall's style in iOS 7 which leads me to believe it really is a NEW iOS compared to previous ones which just kept adding on features year after year.

iOS 2.x gave us the App Store

iOS 3.x gave us copy and paste and MMS

iOS 4.x gave us multitasking and voice control? (3GS)

iOS 5.x gave us the notification center

iOS 6.x gave us Apple Maps? (this version was already indicating to me that Forstall had run out of creative steam).

There are so many changes in iOS 7 it's almost like having 2 revisions worth of changes in 1 release. Both visual and functional changes.

Yeah, and you still inserted the word "ads" into your description of the app update. The app description and accompanying article you posted referred to video only. And in fact the only difference there is that videos in your timeline play (silently) automatically rather than just sit there.

The YouTube link you just posted to cover yourself is a speculative piece from months ago which contains absolutely no information about how these supposed unannounced video ads are going to work, in the app or anywhere else.

And one last thing - imagine what you've said was true - what do you suppose you achieve by not updating anyway? Do you honestly think your out of date app will just carry on working with Facebook perfectly without them either cutting it off, or finding a way to make it play the ads anyway?

Why would I make sure I run no apps in background? I run a ton of apps in the background and it changes nothing, messages opens instantly, settings opens instantly. If I close them down and then try.. They open instantly. I have no idea what's wrong with the 5 you were testing.

Some ppl can't piece the obvious together LOL

It's always to their benefits and not ours, in regards to any Facebook update. It's all about pushing as much ads as possible.
