Yes I just called FedEx and was informed of that there's no such thing as overnight shipping from China. I guess there was a glitch in the system and that option shouldn't have been there. I was just worried that something was wrong. I can be patient until Monday...

It shouldn't be there but in my years and years of buying Macs and iPods Apple has never bothered to correct it. I think Apple uses it as a profit center from unsuspecting customers. I'm sure plenty of people pay for overnight or 2Day and never bother to call Apple on it. I learned the lesson the hard way and try to warn anyone that will listen. When you know it's shipping from China always choose free ground shipping.
Mine was a BTO (changed the HD to be a 7200 option) so I assume it was shipping from China ... but maybe not for something that minor. I guess "prepared for shipment" doesn't mean that it's sitting in a box ready to go out like I thought. I'm just hoping it ships out tomorrow and I get it by Monday ... maybe
Mine has arrived in the States and departed the Arkansas depot. It still has a ways to go, but it's def. a lot closer now that it's in the same continent (I live in Toronto)
Mine has been "prepared for shipment" since late yesterday afternoon and still hasn't progressed any. I sure hope it ships out before the weekend, but it's already 9:57 pm, Friday Shanghai time. So much for the "expedited" delivery.
I ordered my stock config 2.53 on Tuesday night with overnight shipping and it's not due in until Tuesday morning. This is taking forever!
Agreed. I am rather disappointed that I am still waiting for mine. I paid for the expedited shipping, but I guess I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering a remote with the computer. Apparently, that turns your order into a BTO, which makes it take longer to ship. GAH!

Yours is shipping via UPS? Mine is on FedEx. I don't know if FedEx does Saturday delivery, but either way, I don't think I would get it tomorrow.

You sound like you're complaining. If you planned around the Monday date, then wait for them to try again (most likely on the Monday)

Mine is schedule for Tuesday before noon. I have class until 10 and Fedex normally runs at 9-10 in my area. You think I can request to pick it up before the first delivery attempt? I know they won't on ground packages but this gets delivered by FEDEX not FEDEX ground. I think I might call and ask them to hold it at the hub. I almost pass it going to the court house after class so I could possibly even pick it up Monday if they get it

Eh, not really complaining, it just would have been nice to know that they were going to try to deliver today so I could've been home to accept it.

I ordered mine on Tuesday evening EST and in the past 8 hours (midnight-8am Shanghai time btw) flipped from "Not yet shipped" to "Prepared for shipment" - thats approximately 2.5 days.
From memory when I ordered my current MBP it actually shipped out some time very early Sunday morning (3am). I'm pretty sure the factor works 24x7 so those that didnt ship Friday I wouldn't be too worried it should go out some time over the weekend.

Been two days and still waiting to ship...guess it's not going anywhere until Monday. Oh well, at least Shanghai is 12 hours ahead and their Monday will be our Sunday.
