I'll probably faint dead away when the status finally changes. It's been sitting there for three @#% days!
That is really odd. I ordered at 12:41 PST so probably about an hour and a half after the Q & A ended after the keynote. I had one in the cart as soon as the store came up and then the store went down as I hit submit. I had to run one of our pets to the vet and placed the order on my iPhone in the waiting room.
Mine shipped on Thursday about 12 hours after it was prepared to ship.

Maybe Apple decided to play a game with those of us constantly checking the status and stopped updating the web site. Right now they're sitting on the FedEx truck ready to go out tomorrow!
Did anyone elses order ship by UPS? Mine did, and it left Alaska earlier today, I'm trying to figure out if I'll have it by tomorrow here in Kansas.
I'm still trying to figure out why mine won't be out until Wednesday. Memphis is 6 hours away and it left Memphis over an hour ago and still says Wednesday by noon. I hope its at the hub tomorrow and they will make an exception and not wait until after the first delivery attempt to let me pick it up. I feel left out by ordering a BTO as everyone else will have had their computer a week.

Don't worry. Mine was supposed to be delivered tomorrow and I got it Friday. The "Delivered by" date is a worst case scenario.
I ordered mine (custom configured) Oct 17, but am still in "Not yet shipped"... am starting to worry, any one who ordered the 17 is still in this status?
How much time it takes to move from there!? Can I expect a movement today even though its Sunday? ( I really want know, this way I can stop seeing apple store!)

I live in germany and ordered straight after the keynote...
Estimated Ship date: 4th to 6th of November...
And no BTO, just a regular 2.53 MBP..
Anyway, maybe the longer the waiting period the more happy feelings, when it's finally here. At the moment I'm using an 3 year old Samsung X20... Can't wait...

I can't imagine waiting that long. I don't have a problem if they authorize the card and I have to wait for something like a pre-order. But to release a product, take the full price up front, and then have to wait. I just get anxious.You name it...
So if you guys have any pictures of your new mbps... Don't hesitate do post them... I'd like to see that thing in action ;D

really! I think its high time that apple reconsiders doing business in china. start using countries with more relaxed labor laws ... They really need to crack the whip on these lazy 9 year olds and their green lasers! speed it up!! i need my macbook pro damnit.

we are in the same boat man, i feel your pain. i ordered a couple of hours after you on tuesday, still prepared for shipment (since thursday afternoon)
It won't show a tracking number until it updates to shipped. Mine was ready for shipment on the morning of the 16th and shipped at like 8pm Shanghai time (2 hours after the pickup cutoff). It didn't go out until the 17th. So basically it took 3 full days for mine to get picked up in Shanghai.
I might call and tell them other people that had ordered both before and after you have had their computer ship and ask why yours has not.

I ordered my MBP 2.4GHz BTO on 10/16 and it shipped on 10/18...
Apparently there is some kind of delay in getting the status updated at the Apple store. It's now near the middle of the day on Monday in Shanghai, and you can bet that those MacBooks haven't been sitting in a corner untouched since last week.
When it does happen and a tracking number is issued, I expect the status to start updating fairly quick.

I ordered a BTO MBP about 4 hours after the event ended on Tuesday, and I have been staring at "prepared for shipment" since Thursday night. It is now 7:43 am Monday in Shanghai, so hopefully new MBPs start to leave the factory.
Mine was picked up at 11:30 am in Shanghai so hopefully you will have tracking info soon. That was last week but it gives you an idea what time they have fedex pickups.
I ordered my Mbp 2.4 bto on the 15th 10:45pm pst and it just changed to "Prepared for shipment" today again. it went back to not yet shipped yesterday, They will ship out tomorrow i think.
