Hopefully our computers are checking each other for dead pixels and warped battery covers, cause if I have either I'm going to be mad.

It's been marked as "Prepared for Shipment" since Friday afternoon AEST. I spoke to a helpful person at Apple this morning and he said it is due to ship out today (if it hasn't already been).
He then said the web site should get updated this afternoon around 4-5pm AEST with tracking info.
Fingers crossed...

...but that was 4-5 solid hours ago....
I think that is actually in about 3.5 hours. I believe it is around 12:30pm AEST, right?

My MacBook Pro left Alaska 31 hours ago and there has been no update since. I don't understand. I'm wondering if there is some massive glitching going on in the shipment updates.
i dont understand how your package is still moving when i thought FEDEX didnt work on the weekend. my package has been sitting ever since friday.
Ordered on Tuesday (2:33pm PST), Prepared for shipment on Thursday, waiting, waiting, waiting...
Let's see...Tuesday Oct. 14th...ships in 3-5 days...nothing as of Oct. 19 (except for the constant Prepared for shipment).
I'm calling Apple to cancel if it doesn't ship tomorrow. This is ridiculous.

Fedex doesn't deliver on Sunday but as far as I'm aware they operate 7 days a week excluding holidays. I see Fedex planes on Sundays and trucks going in and out all the time going in and out of our local airport and occasionally when I fly through Memphis.
I'm in the same boat as you, ordered Tuesday and still on Prepped for shipping blah blah. But remember they have 3-5 business days, so technically they have up to Tuesday to ship out.
It sucks waiting a few extra days when I could just pop over to the Apple store and pick one up...But either way I look at it, these next couple weeks are going to pass by no matter what I do, and at the end of those couple weeks I want my Mac to have the best specs I can get!
FedEx operates everyday, but only delivers normally Monday to Friday and for special orders on Saturday. I'm fairly certain that our MacBooks haven't been sitting at the dock all weekend and have made some progress that isn't reflected in Apple's status updates.

I hope UPS is the same way. My 1 MBP and 2 MB's is supposedly sitting in Shanghai since Friday.
I lived under the take-off path of the local freight airport for years, and I can tell you with certainty that FedEx and UPS fly every single bloody day.
yeah it looks like our macbook pros are on the same shipping schedule. mine just changed to prepared for shipment and i ordered mine on wednesday also, but at 5pm.
mine's just not updating anymore.
It apparently left Alaska early on Saturday. Do you think it'll be here to me in Kansas by tomorrow? I don't see why it wouldn't be, but it's not telling me anything, not even an estimated arrival. Nothing.
