I will be using the brown Apple case i brought with my iPhone. Because i commute to university on the bus theres more of a chance of it getting bumped or knocked.

The main thing i shall be looking for is good battery life, because i'm usually at uni from early in the morning until around 6 in the evening, i need it to last. My 4S lasted so i'm hoping it wont be a problem.

Bought one of these to see how I get on, but I got the frosted one. Think it really complements the gold :D

That one time I used a case, I lost the iphone in the back of a taxi in Paris. Never again - I'll never be a nevernude again :D

Ok twitter. We get it.

This place is like a bus station. Every half hour, all new people standing around talking about the same thing the last people were talking about.

Search forum for naked iphone.

Ya know you don't have to come read my posts. You could just troll the forum yelling at anyone that doesn't have mad searching skills to find threads that were created a year ago about a different model of iphone.

If it counts, I use a skin from Bestskinsever

It looks naked, but its not :D

PS- When I travel, I like to put it in a case... the skins do not like heat.

I'm using BSE too. Was hell trying to put some of the pieces on last night.

What do you mean by "skins do not like heat"? Personal experience?

My 5 just has an invisible shield on the back, so I can set it down on hard surfaces without scratching. Naked otherwise.

FYI, you WILL eventually drop your iphone on the concrete somewhere.

Had iPhones since 2007 and it has yet to happen. I'll take my years of case-free enjoyment over some remote possibility that I could become clumsy some day.

Is that the Spigen SGP Ultra Thin Air?

IT does look nice but quite pricey for a ultra thin case I think when the Tough Armor is a similar cost and offers more protection (of course it hides the gorgeous chamfered edges though)

I put on front and back screen protectors on mine (on the back, there are massive bubbles around the Apple logo and 'iPhone' text. I use a case when I want but keep it naked at home because I like the look :) Still scared ***** that I will drop it though... However the space grey is a lot more durable IMHO in term of scratches than the Slate 5

Yes pal, it is.
I definitely didn't want anything any more than the Spigen, otherwise it wouldn't have mattered which colour I chose. It was either this or naked, and as I haven't had a case for YEARS, I thought I'd go with a change :)

I recently got their iPhone dock, had to ship it to the UK from Germany!

Good Apple-like products :D

No case or protectors of any sort on my silver 5S. I don't resell my phones so not worried about resale value or anything. Had a case on my 4S and the case did get pretty dinged up over the two years I've had the phone, so I'm sure it protected the phone from some scuffs and what not. No matter, don't want any extra bulk and or modifications on the new one. Had a 3G and 3GS that went caseless as well.

I picked up my 5s a week or two ago and while I started using the cases I had for my 5 I ended up picking up an iq liquidskin from amazon. I'm not sure how what I purchased compares to some of the other skins you can get as I just put it on last night but 1 day in and I'm loving the fact that that my phone has practically no bulk. The only thing that worries me is the edges and the bottom where the charge ports/speaker vents are since it doesn't cover them but I'd say it covers about 90% of the phone and I have minimal concern about scratching the finish aside from that.

I don't throw my phone around though so if you tend to toss it on a desk or a nightstand, you may want a case of some kind. It's also probably as close to naked as I'd get but it's something.

Anyone know off hand if these skins work with the apple dock? I may pick one up but I know they have issues with cases. The skin doesn't cover the bottom so I'm thinking it could work theoretically.

For those without cases, how do you keep the speakers and holes clean of lint and dust?

I have a case on my 5s. But when I'm home, sometimes I take it off. lol

I agree with this too. The 5/5S is nice to look at but it's too thin, slick, and sharp for comfortable holding. Personally, I wish the guts of the 5S were also available in the body of the 5C. That thing is such joy to look at and hold. People can talk all they want, but that plastic doesn't feel cheap AT ALL.

I agree. My friend has the 5c and the plastic is really nice. Really good quality and the curves make it nicer to hold than the 4 - 5s.

When I was on vacation the skin (from Bodyguardz) became discolored and peeled.

That is why I use a case when I travel.

I use the analogy of Megan Fox. If someone gave you Megan Fox, why cover her up in a huge fur coat. You'd want her naked ....except for her thumbs, she can hide those

haha... Don't know what's wrong with Megan's thumbs, I don't think I've ever noticed them. Next time I look at Transformers I'll check them out :)

Megan, notwithstanding, I always keep my phones in thin light cases, mainly to avoid scratches etc. but also to maintain some grip inside the holster.

Cheers,.

You can still have high resale value using a naked phone. You don't have to baby it either. Just use common sense in using it (don't put it key pocket, coin pocket, always place it on at least a sheet of paper or padded area, place it gently don't toss/slam it, and you should be good.)

If i'm not mistaken, they edited out and used a hand model for close ups on her hands in Transformers. HERE is the link for them....you've been warned.

you are a retard

You'd have to be straight crazy not to have some form of protection.

Either that or you don't care about resale value or you like to burn money on replacements via oow or applecare+.

Apple designed this phone to be beautiful and feel good in your hand, why would I keep the joy for the next user? are you one of those people who buy a car and put it under a cover every night and don't drive it? it's a freaking phone and you need to grow up. I have had every phone since the very first one and have NEVER used a case. The iPhone is beautiful and you are just killing its looks and feel by smothering it in a piece of plastic. Who cares about $20 resale value, or the slightly increased risk of breakage, I will just fix it. Don't act so pompous, the person below you agrees with me and has more upvotes. /endrant

Had an iPhone 4s, used about 10 different cases that I never liked, and eventually just went naked, since I had Apple Care plus.

This time, I have the iPhone 5s Gold, and I am rockin it naked. I have apple care Plus, so I am good there. I do have a belkin screen protector though, but other than that... naked.
