i came out in the Dodgers Big Screen in dodger stadium 3 times....and 1 time in the Home Depot Center......
and ran at 115 MPH on the 405.......and hide behind a 18 wheeler, before a CHP saw me.....

I do that on my motorbike quite a lot. sometimes more than once in a day. Not on The 405 though.

No one drives on the 405 at 115 near LA unless it is about 3:30 AM and even then there is only a small window of time for that to be possible.
No way I will measure up to the chain link self neuterization. But I've machined upper and lower receivers for an AR-15 from aluminum billets using the Armalite prints. Made rocket parts that are floating around up in space somewhere. Drunkenly raced many a Big Wheel from the upper parking lot of Red Rocks Park all the way down to the north gate at speeds approaching at least mach 3. Had an easter egg hunt for my kids in the desert outside of Moab one year. Never played WoW.

I know that NOBODY goes as fast as 15 MPH in the areas going to Brentwood or UCLA or Irvine.....
but torrance and long beach to the 22.....is possible......
or else i would have not post this response...
and you would a need a fast car with a V6 or V8 or V10 engine to travel the speeds I go...

Torrance to the 22 it's entirely possible but as others have suggested it would require a fairly late night I think.

however, in Orange County it is possible between the hours of 11pm-9am and 12pm-3pm. After 3pm..... it's traffic all the way from 22 to the i-405/i-5 interchange on the 405-S....and it's opposite on the 405-N, (no traffic) after the 22....
however in Los Angeles County, passing the 90 or by Culver City to Brentwood or UCLA, it's impossible to hit speeds over 15 MPH...
after 3pm..hopefully those new carpool lanes make it easier...

I wouldn't attempt 115mph on that route unless it was after 12am and the lanes were fairly clear. But that also puts you out as an obvious speeder to the CHP. I've done it

and I only do 115 MPH or higher when it's safe...and I see no cars within 100 feet of my distance....or view...

No I've never received a ticket from the CHP but I can count on one hand where I went so over 100mph.

Sorry to jack up the percentages dude but I've gone about ~120 mph on the 405 in the middle of the night going from santa monica to sherman oaks. I was in an M3 and figured "what the hell." Scared the crap out of myself doing it too as I was a fairly new driver.
No cops saw me that I know of though.
Two things come to mind:
1. In eastern Quebec, trapped beaver under ice in the winter with conibear traps and sold the plews for cash.
2. In northern New Hampshire, caught a huge fisher in a cubby fox set along a mountain run.
