I'm so disappointed again. Last week, everything worked fine for me. After I restored my iPhone 5S and Apple Watch, all native apps worked finally. Now that my dad got the 6S, I have his iPhone 6 and long story short: I have everything restored to my new phone and native apps aren't working AGAIN! Already reseted the new phone again but nothing changed.
This really freaks me out right now! I was fine after it worked in the first place - now it's all messed up once again.
It really is a shame for Apple, can't remember seeing something like this ever.

Especially because I use a lot of my apps frequently, but now, whenever they get a watchOS 2 update, they become unusable.
Now THAT is frustrating...

Guys I called Apple last week, talking to engineering today...they have asked for several crash logs. I even gave them the link to this thread, this is unbelievable for anyone who believes in Apple quality...

At this point I'm pretty sure it's a problem with watch os2 and it needs an update asap

That's a shame :( Am I right in thinking others can't use 3rd party complications either? Mine just show up empty or as a series of lines. No 3rd party complications work for me (because the apps don't load, either).

I have five third party complications and I have used them all without an issue. Had an error for a little while with dark sky, but right now, I use two from Carrot and one from Dark Sky on my screen without issue. Plus they load very fast when I click on one of them. I am on OS9.1 beta 3 now and OS2

Thanks for sharing that you don't have our issue :)

:) ok, looking now I feel stupid. lol Was replying to the post above me. Sorry you are having problems. It took me unpairing and re-pairing to get it to work and I also had to uninstall the third party apps from the watch and then from the phone. Rebooted both and downloaded one at a time and got it to work on the watch before moving to the next.

I think others have tried this though. :(

Not working for me, either. Tried everything in this thread, and native apps still don't launch. I'll call apple support this afternoon and get another case logged.

I am Live Chatting with Apple Support right now, has anyone tried setting their Apple Watch up 'as new' and see if it fixes it? So far, I've only just restored from backup.

I've done that three times!

i have been expecting a watchOS 2.0.1 update by now.

iOS is already at 9.0.2 and El Capitan soon will be 10.11.1

maybe this bug is harder to fix and that is why no updates yet.

Agreed. Something is holdin this up and if I had to guess, they want to make sure this doesn't happen again. There is something wrong with third party apps as reported since the release of os2. Makes me believe that is why some have held out updating.

Have you noticed that the apps shown in the presentation and marketing are all not working on os2 native yet? CNN, MLB and others. Baseball will be over before it works.

maybe the delay for an update is watchOS 2.0.1 is including other bug fixes and performance improvements and this is taking awhile to implement also? besides just the native app bug fix.

Just spoke to Apple chat support. He tried telling me it was an issue with the beta software. I sent a link to this thread, to prove that it wasn't, and he said he couldn't speak to anyone else's cases. This is seriously frustrating. I want to use native apps!

I'm on the phone to a callback right now. Quite frustrating to try an explain the issue, some advisors had not heard of native apps :/

EDIT: The only advice they could give me is that I have to wait for 3rd party app developers to update their apps. But, we already know that some Watches are fine, so it is, presumably, just Watch 2.0. I have no clue.

Anyways, we just have to wait :(

I've had similar issues with their chat support. It seems their only solutions are ever reset, restore, wait for an update, or send your device in.
