New Apple MacBook on Tuesday? GMA X3100?

What if the new MBs really DO come in Aluminum casings?
And what if they come in colors?
I mean, the logic thing is to keep the MB in Aluminum too, in environmental aspects and to keep their product line .. what's the english word... gah... I guess you get my point.
Maybe we'll see some iPod influenses on the upcoming macbooks? But honestly I don't know what to think or hope for. All I know is that I'd love aluminum, but the plastic ones are gorgeous too!

Now if I could only figure out why it restarts at random when gaming and on Team Speak. It crashes so hard it doesn't log.
Then again it doesn't matter. I'll be back on my first Mac since May.

Well a lot of laptop manufacturers are going for 'snappy' colors now, as Apple rules in the world of 'snappy' then it could make sense!

I have had an HP laptop for the last 2 years until I got a Macbook Pro in July (my first Mac), I can't even bare to turn on the HP anymore - the thought of booting into Windows just sends shivers down my spine!
Even Dell has "snappy" colors.
Actually it was Dell I was thinking of, my wife needs a new laptop and she likes the Dell's that come in a variety of colors, but I am trying to turn her from the dark side and convince her to get a Mac
I'm most productive in OS X and I use it at work daily. I really want to get a Leopard machine as well.
I'm enjoying Office 2007 and my games but it doesn't match what I can do in OS X.
My significant other would benefit from a Mac as well but it'd be tough to convince them. Ugh, I have to use Windows at work (As I am right now) I know somewhere in my company some people have Macs, but this is a very PC world and I don't see me ever getting to use a Mac for work anytime in the near or distant future.
As much as I love and can easily extol the virtues of OS X to the masses it's still just a tool.
I think this is a great idea! The colors would differentiate the MacBooks from the more serious and less fun MacBook Pros. But wouldn't this have been leaked before now?
Changed leopard home page
I was on the leopard home page a second ago, hoping they would be featuring something else beside the macbook(taking it off for a the new relase). And i saw three imac's on the homepage, but i refreshed it and it went back to macbooks. Have they put imac's up earlier last week.

I have to agree. I mean, the Pros are pure aluminum style and the look great! But imagine a 13" black, red, pink, mint green and so on macbook - they would look terrific!
Brief Question
Am I correct in believing that you cannot return a MacBook that has been configured with extra ram? And more importantly, does anyone know if you can take advantage of Apple's two week price guarantee even with a custom configured item?

Yeah I have to admit, the main thing keeping me from cancelling my macbook pro order and waiting for this new macbook are the matte screen, better keyboard (in my personal opinion), and aluminum casing on the MBP. (NOT the higher cpu speed or graphics card)
Okay, thanks. I am glad to be assured that keeping it in its package will not yield any benefits. It will be nice to open it the moment it arrives without worrying about when the next one is coming out or trying to avoid restocking fees.
I started taking my macbook pro to work and connecting it to the dvi port and using the new wireless keyboard and mouse. I connect the my pc via cord or remote desktop, have mail in one space, safari and terminal. I get more done faster and easier now.

I'm tempted by a new MacBook since I've grown attached to my Dell lappy. It's fun to sit out next to a building and use the Wi-Fi while waiting for the bus.

But how many times have the rumors been wrong? To everyone who didn't buy based on rumors, do you say, "Ha - you just lost another two months you could have been using new hardware"?
By the time anything actually ships, there are new rumors about newer stuff just around the corner. It's enough to drive you insane.

I just read that the X3100 (on XP) can run Counter Strike Source at 27-30 FPS on High settings, just with a smaller screen size
Guess this Macbook CAN last me 4-5 years after all
