Let hope they finally get rid of that CRAPPY REMOTE.

Apple already said that tvOS 13 will have support for PS4 and Xbox controllers. I mean even those controllers are better than the Siri Remote. LOL

One more thing...

"We finally fixed AirPower and we're ready to launch them in select markets next week."

Actually, I would welcome the Airpower. It’s not to say that it won’t happen in the future, even though it allegedly did have issues with the coils overlapping with over-heating. We never know if Apple will re-scrap the original design and bring something back that would supersede the original Airpower. This company is fairly unpredictable if there’s one thing that can be said to be true.

The AppleTV is really a fantastic product, however, it *really* needs to be cheaper. Much *much* cheaper. The 4K AppleTV should be no more than £99.

Why?

Perhaps Apple Arcade can push the Apple TV as a gaming machine, but I'm not sure it can make a dent in the Switch/PS4/XB1 market.

I feel like we're at (or even past) peak console gaming... it's all going to the cloud.

If Apple TV is going to be a success, it needs to be more than a streaming box. Perhaps Apple Arcade can push the Apple TV as a gaming machine, but I'm not sure it can make a dent in the Switch/PS4/XB1 market.

I think it’s time Apple tried re-entering the gaming market. The Pippin flopped but I think a modern Apple would make a success of it.

Hopefully NOT with THAT remote!

Horrible gawdawful remote control. It was very marginally improved by putting a raised ring around one of the buttons so you could figure out by feel which way is up. However a device you use in your living room while sitting on the couch to drive your entertainment system in the dark shouldn't be TINY, BLACK with no BACKLIGHT and with a horrible finnicky touchpad!

Tim shouldn't try to pull off "One more thing" again. Unless it is something we really don't know about. Last time he did it I think was the iPhone X and it was sort of sad and pathetic. Everybody knew.

I'd go with one more thing being a realistic price point on the new MacPro :D

Pro... man this made me fall off the chair... but only after I spilled my coffee.

Consumer tv are now PRO? What does it do that is PRO?
Can’t stop laughing....thanks!
It's THE recognised streaming box that is used by the BBC to measure the quality of their streaming services along with many commercial enterprises. Coming from a broadcasting background, I can assure you that Apple TV is the only box used in this field. Why? Because nothing else comes to the level required.
It's the ONLY streaming box to use a professional level 'Silicon Image Processor' in its HDMI route.
It's also the only box used by the audio/video manufacturers to measure their products by.

I'd regard that as pretty much a professional quality tool.

Whether that is a professional standard to you is entirely your perspective.

I find it incredibly decent of Apple to make such a decent product with components not normally associated with a domestic market. I certainly don't find that funny. But then, i've always regarded Apple products as products built to professional standards that just so happen are also sold to the domestic market.

They might as well simplify their production by using the A12 in everything but the latest devices. It’s a great chip, still unmatched by anything in the Android world, quite energy efficient as well.

Personally I would like to see the ATV able to bitstream advanced audio codecs like DTS-HD and TrueHD.

Details? Articles? Those are bold claims. I'd love to read up on it.
