Gosh, this thread is getting funner by the hour.
We've got a supposed developer/microprocessor designer who wants it, wants it now... And that the GM IS alway the public release, even though there plenty of historic precedents suggesting otherwise. I'd hate to be using something this guy has developed!
We've got the 'changing that switch thing on the side has destroyed my life' crew, who are still sulking over their dignity injury of having to re-learn how to use a function that's used maybe... Once a day. Oh the pain!
We've got the usual rabble of 'this delay is seriously damaging my iPad use', as though their ipad has been magically rendered useless by the mere presence of an update somewhere in the world.
We've got the 'mac rumors rumor is always an official statement' crew, who also are suffering a dignity injury, because suddenly because of some rubbish statements, an on-time product is 'late'. As though sulking is going to make apple engineers work harder, faster, and better in order to get them their prize in the next 24 hours. Bloody gen y and their 'entitlement'.
Keep it comin' guys. It's hilarious.
I on the other hand use my iPad for critical work functions. It might be hard for those who always need to have the 'latest and greatest' to understand, but I need this to work, and retain my work without problems or issues. Even when it is publicly released, I intend to hold off while you 'early adaptors' find all the bugs, and sulk at the instabilities. To those of you who throw your hat into the ring and fail your computer on my behalf... I thank you.
After all, it is you who probably found the wifi bug for apple to fix!
But seriously.... If you're using something that's not a public release, you've got no recourse for complaint. Be that release a 'golden master' or otherwise. You took the risks, you 'knew' what you were doing, and there's no written guarantee from apple about the stability or the functionality of their GM release.
So suck it up.
