I don't know. I modified the files manually. If it was malware or the like, word would gave gotten round quick. Did you reboot?
Ummm... because it really doesn't work, in it's current state it shouldn't of been released.
Elaborate further please - what "doesn't work"? Can you not stream video from your computer, is there no picture, does it not allow access to iTunes? The Apple TV forum is lacking any threads from users claiming that their ATVs do not perform as advertised, so I am curious to know what issues you are having.

I seriously don't get the number of negative votes. Apple released iOS 4.2 betas, the latest was AFAIK OK regarding Wifi. Then they released GM which had some Wifi issues. Thus Apple postponed the release to fix the reported Wifi issues.
Considering the number of negative votes, some people would like if Apple released the GM with bugs as soon as possible, nevermind that then the very same people would come to forums with tons of comments about how Apple should have fixed it first and release it after it is fixed....

Does AirPrint still work on shared printers with 10.6.5+the three files, the final release of iTunes, and the new 2nd GM of 4.2 for iPad?
And what about these new print drivers via software update? Are those going to overwrite any of the three cup files that enabled AirPrint?

I see the gm2 is available on 'certain' sites now. Is this worth getting or Is it best to wait for the public release? Is it easy to update from gm2 to public release, I'm just a little concerned it may mess up my iPad.

Most HD video stutters and subtitles don't work. The two most important things of any media player. Apple know about these issues when i spoke to Apple Care they said they are known issues ad fixes are coming.

I just bought my wife a iPad 16gb wifi only. Should I have waited for a newer one here? I know we're within our return policy so....
i installed 4.2GM on my iPad and had no wifi issues, i even posted this in one of the wifi threads, i am not the only one either, there were a fair few of us, in fact last time i saw the poll in one of those threads more people voted they didn't have the issue compared to those that did. i've not looked at the poll in the last few days, but that's what it was when i last looked.

no you can update to 4.2 when it comes out. there won't be a new iPad until april time or so. this is just a software update.
Weird, none of that happens with me. I'm playing Apple's HD videos from iTunes and also actual HD videos as well and they all play perfect. Sure it isn't something to do with your signal?
Also, have you tried setting the subtitles to English? I know that sounds daft, but my subtitles didn't play even when subtitles were turned on, just because I didn't set subtitle language to English. I did that, and now subtitles work perfectly. I've only got one issue with the Apple TV and that is Youtube not working correctly. But as far as steaming iTunes content goes, it's working perfectly.
Take a look on the APple Tv forums on this site and The Apple forums ad you'll come across many users experiencing te same issues.
I have called Apple Care, they said they are known issues and and in the works of being fixed.
Not to sound rude, THIS PROBLEM HAS NOTHING NOT WITH THE WIFI SIGNAL. STUTTER ONLY HAPPENS ONCE THE MOVIE IS FULLY CACHED ONTO THE APPLE TV. WHILE THE MOVIE IS BUFFERING IT DOES NOT STUTTER.
