New clues that may point to Macbook pros refresh

Here's my dream compy:

- 2.2GHz SB quad
- 1GB AMD 6830M
- 8GB RAM
- 1TB 7200RPM HDD
- 2 x 128GB blade SSD
- 1920x1200 px 17" screen
- 3 USB 3.0 ports
- 10 hr battery life

Far from impossible for Apple to do, even exceed, however I'm just hoping for something close.

Thanks dude - you are def not just a number to this forum. We'll all virtually hold hands and sing kumbaya on the evening of the release

Count me in for kumbaya

My dream...

13" (increased resolution)
SB chip
Discrete GPU
the absence of an optical drive
128gb ssd

all for 1299

thats ALL i want :)

Not sure if this has been mentioned. I apologize in advance if it has, Best Buy is now on backorder for the i7 15" version of the MBP. I know the 17" has been on backorder for a while, but I noticed today that the 15" is now backordered as well.

Last week, One of the Best Buys that are near me has 3 models of each stocked, but no iMacs? (Denver)
Besides that point, I think we'll see a revision soon, the March 1 guess sounds great to me.

I hope my windows 7 laptop gets crapped on by my cat and DIES! so i can get a new macbook pro refresh and go watch battle for L.A. while on it and then go back to my apartment so i can blog about how awesome a new macbook pro is... but seriously apple needs to hurry the ******* up!!!!:apple:

so unless we get something late tonight, tuesday is definitely not happening.

Let's look forward to next weekend's news to see if any major store(such as microcenter) gets part numbers before it really happens following tuesday.

Still march 1st or 8th is more likely but I really hope for sonner than later scenario that everyone is thinking and hoping on this forum.

I have been in-between laptops for almost a year now... I really need a new one so this wait is killing me.

I dont understand why we need to see something tonight. Usually the apple store goes down in the morning and then a press release goes out. so we wouldn't know anything until tuesday morning. Except for major new releases the product is available at announcement.

This is just based on last year.

April 10th(sat), there was an article saying microcenter got part number for new mbp and then 13th(tuesday), store went down for update and new mbp was listed.

I would think major store(such as microcenter) get shipment of new mbp news and they get notified ahead of actual update of apple store.(so that they can get ready as well)

OK I thought you meant we would need to see something from apple

Sorry, I didn't make it clear.

BUT you know I want MBP to be released ASAP as much as ANYONE here.
So desparate....

Was just trying to be realistic.

Ugh, this wait is horrible. I sold my late 06 Blackbook about a month ago, cause I didn't want to sell it after the new Macbooks had been announced (plus I got a real good offer, like €520!). Now, I'm borrowing a HP Elitebook, and while it's a quality machine, I can't stand Windows anymore, and the overall experience just isn't the same... My conviction in getting another Apple product has never been so strong before.

I've visited MR way too much the last three months...

I'm curious to see what these hopeful updates will bring. I'm on a early 2007 Core 2 Duo 2.33GHZ 15" MBP which is awesome but I wouldn't mine the upgrade if it's substantial.

I hope for a new design at least the liquid metal goodness :)

I begin to really start thinking the samething and wondered if there are others like me... Just glad to know at least we have some crowds here that does the samething..

seriously, this is almost getting me into slacking off on real work that I need to do.. due to excessive visit to this site plus all kind of speculation and wants..

Please.. let this stop.. just released da damn thing already.

I definitely agree with this. I've been on this site, 9to5mac, appleinsider, etc, for the past few months, 24/7, everyday, waiting for this new macbook pro. I almost bought one yesterday, but I regained my composure and decided to continue waiting.

Same here.

We might all be strangers to each other but our browsing patterns are all same.. that is priceless..

Priceless - just like the countless hours we have wasted when wanting the next Mac really bad and hoping to light a hope from a heaven-sent rumour here or other related website, while the fear of buyer's remorse keeps us from purchasing the current one which we all know is somewhere in the second half of its cycle. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has had it this way.
