NEW Dell IPS 22" Monitor 2209WA

I saw the deal through Dealsea and went ahead and purchased two 2209WA's + the logitech quckcam pro 9000. I figured that a good sale would come around, and I'm glad I waited.
I can't wait to try them out, as I've never had a decent screen, and from what I've read IPS is far superior to TN. I'm pretty heavily invested in graphics and visual expression as an architecture student, and after extensive research, I though I was going to have to buy one S-IPS or H-IPS screen for $400 plus, but thanks to the E-IPS 2209WA's I can get two nice screens for a pretty reasonable price. I'll let you guys know how things turn out.

Shipping estimate...
One thing I need to mention here is when I ordered one on 4/12, estimated shipping time was on 5/12. Then I received an e-mail on the next day saying they shipped it. Just my experience.

However, on that dpforum thread someone (who was waiting for theirs) was told: She then told me they were getting a shipment of 700 monitors on JULY 13th and mine would be expedited on the 14th. She did say they were in HUGE demand, were constantly back ordered and no one could figure out why.
In the UK, one large reseller (eBuyer) has said theyve been discontinued, but other resellers are out of stock but are taking orders Im really kicking myself as I thought ah, Ill order myself in on a few days .
argh...I called dell about my two 2209's and the rep said that they had been discontinued but that she'd check with the manufacturing department about orders placed before the discontinuation.
I also asked if dell offers similar monitors (22", ips) and she said that she'd check, but as far as I know, they don't.
Man, this is frustrating.
Does anyone know if you can force dell to give you an upgrade for the inconvenience? I'd love to have two 2408wfp's.

Well, this is good news. I guess those rumors of dell getting a new supply of monitors were well founded.
So, does this mean that they are going to continue selling them, or is it just one last hurrah?
Dell really needs to get it's story straight in the future. If it's discontinued, place that on the monitor page, else just place an out of stock notice. Oh well, it's nice to dream...

Reading the links from a few posts ago, supposedly their supplier couldn't keep up with orders.
Just bought mine from ebay yesterday for $260. Not too bad I guess cause I just checked ebay today and they're going for $300. I couldn't wait for Dell to restock.

I was pretty lucky, ordering when I did. I got a good deal ($201 a piece) and just missed the big shortage (or at least got in line early enough to get my order sooner rather than later).
I don't think that Dell appreciated how many people were waiting to purchase one of these once a sale came around. When one did, the huge rush of orders quickly depleted the supply. I hope that Dell will realize what a hit these things are and will fix the supply line.
