New, Fun Products Next Week?

It would be great to see the new mac mini, but it seems that the "fun" part is probably more along the lines of ipod related stuff...Question while we're sort of on the topic of the rumored, new true video ipod:

What's the point? They just released the 5G iPod video a few months ago...

Let me the first to complain about Apple's new products.
They scratch easy, .01% of them have one bad pixel or something, and .001% of them have power issues or are partly defective which is covered under warranty, but we consider these flaws and the warranty to be undue burdens. I am also not happy that when I received the product that I have yet to order , it was/is/will better than the specs that were originally released.

Please join the class action lawsuit against Apple for the creation of these as yet to be offered products, with yet to be identified flaws.

I am also filing a class action lawsuit against all other people who have filed seemingly frivolous class action lawsuits for not including us in their class action lawsuit. All people who have not been part of or invited to join a class action lawsuit constitut a class of people who can file a frivolous class action lawsuit. By not joining the class action suite, be aware that you are entitled to join the class action suite to be filed later against the people filing the class action against those who have yet to file class action law suites. The damages to all classes noted above will be determined during the protracted and verbose prefiling period, or after the filing, or during the proceedings that will follow.

I love you for this. :c

Maybe the calander is hinting towards a Apple branded PDA with a touch screen. Like I think of calander I think of datebook and a PDA. :D

Hmmm the date thing is an interesting one. I can't see what it points to other than a PDA type thing. Whatever happened to Asteroid though? I'd love them to release that as i'm about to buy myself a new guitar and amp and an Asteroid would go just great with them.

Photo Booth should do video / audio next. Also Front Row 2.0 should be available and work with Eye TV 200 and also a Apple branded unit. Hopefully they can release those products to all Macs but I understand why they won't.

It's going to be iCal Pro! With a calendar that goes 7000 years into the future!

Being a geologist, I vote for iCal Pro going back 600 million years to the first multicellular life

Please, don't be that guy...
It's "pourquoi". :p

Sorry Shard, but he was speaking a flawed spanish, not french...it's "porque" (but the right form in this case is "por qué"), pourquoi is french..."porque" may also be portuguese, but whenever you use it for questions, you say "por que" separated...

Yup... it'd be fun to see the first Cell Duos.

Maybe it the announcment has to do with TV schedualing?

This has ALWAYS driven me nutz! How hard is it to display the correct date in the dock:confused:

Simple, it shows 17 July because it's the date when it was launched (if I am not mistaken)...whenever you LAUNCH iCal and leave it on, it displays the current date...

I think well see iPod Boombox.

I'd also like to see a device that you could stream video to wirelessly, from itunes, to play on a TV.

Finally, a Media Mac would be pretty cool, but this event sounds more like accessories maybe. I don't know.

If they do offer a DVR, I wish they'd offer an add-on option, for current mac users and not a computer only for that.

It's just a little early for that.

That guy will show, he always does. Hopefully, his brother-in-law's best-friend's girlfriend will be over for wine and cheese this evening and she'll dish out what she heard from her best friend who's sister works at apple as an administrative assistant.

That's a source you can take to the bank.

What I want to know is:

Where are the elevator pictures? We haven't seen one of those for a while!

None and all of the Above

How about this?

Airport Extreme AV compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n.

Mac Mini Media Center: Using Front Row 2.0, with an Input to record and usees iCal to schedule. The Hitch would be real time shifting, view once and its gone. This way it would not compete with ITM&VS.

New remote for that runs Front Row, no output of it to your TV/Monitor. Uses Touch Screen.

Movies for rent/sale at DVD Quality. Subscription to ITMS to rent 3 at a time. ONce you view, your que would download your next selection overnight via a BitTorrent built into iTunes. If you like movie enough, you can buy more rights to it, allowing you to copy to DVD and one other computer.

Thats all.

Two (well maybe three) things I really wanna see are:
1. Updated iPod Nano (More Space)
2. Mac Mini Media Center with built in iPod Dock
3. Discontinue the iPod Shuffle line

You really want to see the iPod Shuffle discontinued? I want to see it updated, so I can buy one in a couple of weeks.

I'm really surprised more people don't think it may be a DVR intel mini.

New laptops/towers/pda's aren't "fun".

Something audio, video, game or ipod related would be fun.
