Don't forget the iPod underwear.

"Is that a Shuffle in your pants or are you just (somewhat) happy to see me?"

Hmmmm. I think you mean "Is that an iPod Shuffle in your pants or are you completely disinterested in me?" :D

In view of iLounge being invited I think the event has got to be at least PARTLY iPod related. I'm also wondering if holding it on the Apple campus means it's not exciting enough to rent somewhere to hold the event?

The first thing I thought when I saw the iCal was PDA. Maybe it'll be a cheap iPod/PDA with limited features. That could be considered fun... in some cultures.

Simple, it shows 17 July because it's the date when it was launched (if I am not mistaken)...whenever you LAUNCH iCal and leave it on, it displays the current date...

yes that is correct... BUT i dont like to keep ical running all the time and it would be nice if the icon on the dock displayed the correct date even if the program is not running...

No one believes me. It's the iBlimp. They need room for it to land.

Damn, it sucks being a prophet.

Not a bad thought. There was that Apple MVNO rumor a while back.

Plus, here in the U.S. (I don't know about Globally), Smartphones are it. I think that 7 of the top 10 selling mobile phones in the United States are smart phones.

I don't think it's likely, but it's a fun rumor.

i wonder what is considered a smart phone? is my Moto E815 smart because it has a calendar and can access verizon's GetItNow service? or do they mean blackberry/Treo phones?

i don't mean to be hostile, but it annoys me that my 2005 cell phone interface seems less thought out than my 1997 Palm Pilot. yeah, it's got a camera and a color screen but in terms of phone book and calendar i WISH it was as clever as what Palm had way back when.... and i don't want to carry around something the size of a Treo (nor pay that much for it when phones seem to be dead in 2 years). you can get a phone for under $50 and a palm pilot for under $100 but to merge the two will set you back more like $400. why?

Just click and hold on the icon, drag it up onto the desktop, and let go. Problem solved. ;)

It's going to be iCal Pro! With a calendar that goes 7000 years into the future!

There is always one guy in every apartment complex, that one guy who is alway naked. Just hope your not him. But if you are.

or

It's ok to love your iPod, but to LOVE your iPod.

It can't be that. Perhaps Apple is releasing iPod piercings.

My older brother (who isn't very tech-savvy), is convinced that his iCal always shows the correct date. I tell him it can't be...that he would be the only person whose Mac works that way.

I need to check out what the deal isthe next time I go down to visit him.

I'm guessing an "iPod Pro".

It will be mainly a PDA, it will sync with iCal, iTunes, import iWork documents, as well as Office documents, Mail, etc.
Wireless capable, maybe with Cingular, Dock connector. What else? help me here.

The time is right. it is another way to attract Windows users and gain market share. Even though I'm starting to disagree with bringing in more Windows users! But that is another matter.

I would put money on that its a all new iPod. The one with the whole side as a widescreen.

I expect a 40 and 80GB version. The 40 being 299$ and the 80 being 399$.

Yes......
