Come see some 'fun' 'new' 'products'?

Anyone seen the island yet?
APPLE IS GETTING INTO CLONING!!

BTW in Popular Science's March '06 issue, if anyone has it, go to page 66 and look at the iPod that can download movies from itunes (movie store). Wouldn't that be cool?

Specifically, sources have described to AppleInsider a new iPod Boombox device that is expected to retail in the $300 range and provide plug-and-play audio for the living room
A device retailing in the $300 range better do more than just play music in the living room.

Hey, I figgered it out!

"Well she got her daddy’s car
And she cruised through the hamburger stand now
Seems she forgot all about the library
Like she told her old man now
And with the radio blasting
Goes cruising just as fast as she can now

And she’ll have fun fun fun
’til her daddy takes the t-bird away"

It's an iPod retrofit kit for classic cars.

One of the "fun new products" has got to be a ten pound iPod. I heard a rumor of that on a Podcast a little over a month ago.

I, personally, would love to see a 6- or 8-GB nano, as I am patiently waiting for nanos to receive more storage.

And when Steve decides to demo Leopard (probably WWDC) I'm guessing the new Finder will be Front Row 2. Just kidding.

Woohoo, more stuff :D

I hope we are getting an Apple PDA or a new Newton or something expensive ultra hip something that I'll buy and probably not need ;)

iBooze? Drink Different?

New iBook next tuesday

Don't forget the rumor after MW2006 that apple was going to release some "really cool" stuff, but didn't because of supply issues. My friends, here it is.

Wired's Cult of Mac blog offers some uncharacteristic tidbits from a knowledgable friend who is only attributed as an "anonymous source".

This source claims that the Steve Jobs keynote that was delivered was not the actual keynote originally planned. As noted before, Steve Jobs prepares for weeks prior to the actual event.

Instead, the claim is that "some very, very cool stuff" was eliminated because of supply issues. The blame is laid on the Core Duo chips. When asked if the products were simply 12" and 17" MacBooks, the source claimed the unreleased products are "much cooler".

The reliability of this source is unknown so it should be taken with significant uncertainty. It is only posted on Page 1 due to prominence of the blog which will likely generate a significant amount of discussion.

Arrgh! I just realized the 28th is my baby brother's due date! I hope they have AirPort in the hospital. (do I have my priorities straight or what? )

Its definately the ipod boom box and something else.
Look at the 1billion song countdown on apples site. Steve will have bragging rights by 2/28 that iTunes sold 1 billions plus songs by then.

So my predicitons are:

iPod boombox- has 802.11 b/g, dock for iPod, remote, video out
Macmini Media center- Tivo-killer, touchscreen tablet style remote
Macbooks- the new ibook
iChat conference- Steve talks to Steve Balmer and announces Macs will dual boot into Vista or OS X in the future.
jeans and black shirt.

Something Fun!!!

Who hoo,

we are finally getting solitaire, minesweeper, and DeFrag. The awesome programs that windows users have been laughing at us for not having for years now.

"oh, you use a mac. well can your computer do this?" Opens DeFrag and watches in awe as his computer moves blocks around on his screen for an hour and forty-five minutes.

And for one more thing, Steve unveils..... The Blue Screen of Death Widget!
"For all you switchers out there, we now include the BSD widget for when you are feeling nostalgic. All these great new programs will be available, by third quarter '06"

Fun,Fun,Fun!

Just Hoping...

I am hoping that it is a MacMini of some sort. I really need to get an affordable Mac desktop:)

An iBall perhaps, with an Apple logo instead of the word "colour"?

:D

Fun ??....wooo

Sound very good, just make it cheap and great......I think it is going to be something totally new, the only "fun" product from Apple now (what they consider) would be Photobooth;)

Feb. 28th, 2006 is Mardi Gras. Coincidence? I think not!

Obviously, they're releasing a new lanyard for the iPods, made of beads instead of plastic. When you put it around someone's neck, they show you their... OOPS.. I've said too much...;)

in a related titbit of news, MWSF will be renamed MWNSFW. :)

oh?

Where did you get this info? As far as I know, it never was the reason to switch to Intel. I belive, Viiv is using Windows Media DRM as content protection. I am sure that can be changed, but for now it is using that (as I said, that's the info I have, but may be incorrect).

really ? i had no idea, i first heard it over last summer, that VIIV would enter into a media center and a handheld device. I guess things changed or it was just wrong.

VIIV is Windows only - not Mac.

Maybe Disney will be making MickeyMacs instead of Mickey PCs.

Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes, all with MickeyMacs
and their children are drugged zombies
and they all act just the same

i'm ready to open my heart(and wallet!) for a new Apple Product

Yeah, me too. The event falls on pay day for me, its a sign! :D

Just bought my PB and ACD a couple of weeks ago too, damn you Apple!

Everyone is thinking WAY to big for this event.

It's obvious that Apple is just going to release the products previously planned for MacWorld '06.
Apple knows these items are too small to have their own special event, so they just invited some media to their headquarters.

It'll be a few iPod/Mac accessories, nothing more. :(

For some reason this hasn't been posted here yet, despite it being submitted quite a while ago. My apologies for posting it in an 'incorrect' area, I would have hoped this would have its own post by now.

We've got ourselves a nice big hole to be exploited for those of you out there who use Safari and auto-open safe downloads.
Already covered in other threads. Any particular reason you chose this thread to post in?

I don't think anybody's covered the possibility of a tablet Mac that IS a video iPod...meaning you can play DVD's through iTunes, or whatever. It seems to me it would have an 8" display, just like that thing I recall hearing from an episode of Super Secret Apple Rumors...

EDIT
