Its definately the ipod boom box and something else.
Look at the 1billion song countdown on apples site. Steve will have bragging rights by 2/28 that iTunes sold 1 billions plus songs by then.

So my predicitons are:

iPod boombox- has 802.11 b/g, dock for iPod, remote, video out
Macmini Media center- Tivo-killer, touchscreen tablet style remote
Macbooks- the new ibook
iChat conference- Steve talks to Steve Balmer and announces Macs will dual boot into Vista or OS X in the future.
jeans and black shirt.

I think that this guy is right on the money!

That would be risky. They invite press. I am sure a lot of journalists don't just want to show up for a 'Boombox'. If that, plus a few other peripherals would be all, Apple would feed disappointment and alienate the press for a next event. Small products, like a boombox, will just wait till next key event. But I may be wrong... wouldn't be the first time. 🙂

The reason it's being held at the Apple campus is not because the new products arn't that worthy..
It's because Apple can have FULL,COMPLETE control over any potential leaks and cell phones et.al...
Afterall it's Apple's campus..I'm sure there's some nerd sitting in some cool office with complete control over communications..

Hmmmmm... could be. Think about it. You're inputting a date for recording on Front Row. How about symbolizing that on the main menu with a calendar? Make it the main new feature in Front Row 2.

The more I think about it, the less I like something that would be a proper PDA. Or even a "smart" phone. Basically, the input methods for all of these devices suck. The stylus is too small. The mini-keyboards are too small. Hand-writing recognition isn't perfectly natural. I don't think Apple would release an ipod with a crappy input method. And I don't think they have this all figured out.

In sum, an ipod PDA has a major problem with input method. So I don't think it's that. So I think it very well might be Front Row 2.0, now with DVR scheduling.

Although, I'm honestly expecting an iPod boombox and a new accessory or 2 that I couldn't care less about.
