New Powerbooks Next Tuesday!
ariechel said:Why speculate about the meaning of the invitation? Obviously Apple will tell us what is "new", "fun", and a "product"...
thephotodork said:...But it will probably be the new Video iPod, which will replace the previously marketed video-playing music player called, "iPod Video"..
And Mac Mini. Please God, Mac mini.MacQuest said:SJ and Apple were very careful to NEVER call it iPod Video. The same way they dropped "Photo" from "iPod Photo". I'm thinking this will probably be the iPod accessories and possibly the Asteroid breakout box.
I would say the vPod [video Pod] or mPod [moviePod] as well, but i'm starting to think that that will be introduced with a new Apple online movie store [iMVS = iMovie Video Store?] along with the new MacBooks on the 30th anniversary event. Now THOSE would be announcements worthy of an anniversary celebration.
HOWEVER, if we do get the MacPad/MacPod device now rather than later or at MWSF '07, then i think that that will be introduced with the MacBooks for the anniversary event. Making this Feb. 28th event a "Pod" event, and we may see the vPod/mPod, the iMovie Video Store [iMVS], the iPod accesories, and the Asteroid breakout box.

Well, they haven't released a MacBook yet. Even if it replaces the iBook, you could argue it's a whole new product.nsknike said:Well it says a "new" product, so maybe it is actually something new that they haven't released a previous version of. Hopefully a taplet.
I hope you purposely got the plural of Virus wrong.Carl Spackler said:iVirii 06?![]()
someone had to do it.
Which explains why they're holding the event at HQ. No-one wanted to carry the darn thing off campus.JOHNGAETANO said:It's an 8 pound iPod with a touch screen.

Apple will have no choice to include it - It's the future of Computers.MacQuest said:That's why I don't think they will include DVR capabilities. I hope they will, but I doubt it.
All good though. I've always liked my Elgato EyeTV anyway. =)
