"Fun" makes me think of iPod accessories for whatever reason. Don't know what's up with that iCal graphic.

I'd love the usual Mac tablet, Apple cell phone, and DVR. It seems like here's an opportune moment to announce non-Macintosh and non-iPod products. There's fun in those products.

Of course, I'm playing the waiting game for the next iPod nano revision. Almost bought one yesterday, but then I thought I could wait a bit. And where are the iBook and Mac Mini updates?

And it's the eve of Apple's birthday, if anybody has forgotten.

Confused

Whatever it will be, amazing or disappointing, I will always wonder how some people can rate news like this "negative"... every 7th person rates this "negative"....why???.... :confused:

Guys, it's something new, we don't know what it is, how's that negative news ??? Come on !!

Please, don't be that guy... :rolleyes:

It's "pourquoi". :p :cool:

Someone must've already told you, but porque means why in Spanish. So no, it's not pourquoi he meant to say.

Where's the invitation? Has anyone posted it yet?

EDIT: Found it. Hmmm... doesn't look too fun from the invitation.

Something Fun, Steve Style!!!

iSuit, New addition to the iLife suite. You too, can now file your own lawsuits.

Somebody starting rumors about you, slap them with an iSuit.
Somebody putting pictures of you on the web, serve them with iSuit.
Somebody talking smack that the stuff you make doesn't work like you promise, Shut them up with iSuit.

Now you can effortlessly file all sorts of lawsuits, using any of the millions of templates included withiSuit. All templates are royalty free and come directly from Apple Legal, which have been used in actual real trials.

Plus, iSuit feaures the new iCALLED, Class Action Lawsuit Litigation Enhanced Disabler. This new feature easily takes care of those pesky class-action suits that are so annoying to Multi-Corporation CEOs.

Plus, being part of the iLife suite of applications, iSuit works seamlessly with other iLife apps. Say your in-laws are really rubbing you the wrong way: With iSuit, you can use Garageband to make recordings of them threatening you on the phone, save and burn the recordings using iTunes, and if you happen to have video footage, using iMovie has never been more satisfying. And now with new iDVD COPS themed templates, your DVDs will look studio quality.

Also, Include pictures of in-laws that have been organized with iPhoto with court documents to make serving summons even easier. Then of course, use iWeb to keep you own court document blogs and then podcast so the entire family can download your court procedings and hear what is in store for them if they mouth off to you at the next family function.

Special White House Intern education discounts may apply.

I'm also thinking it's to announce that all their Pro apps are going Universal, but it doesn't make sense to use a Special Event just to make such an announcement so I doubt this is what will happen.

The universal APPLE Pro App announcement will happen at NAB in April [or is it March? I'm pretty sure it was mid-April last year].

Regardless, that announcement will be made at NAB.

Yeah. I would LOVE for it to have the correct date. I never remember the date, thougth I do fine with the day of the week. I can't even belive that in the date & time preferences, there is no format with tthe DATE included!

Well, I still can't wait for the full-screen video iPod with that new touch interface and handwriting recongnition.... oh yeah, that was my Newton MP2100 from
last century...

Nope. VIIV is Windows only.

Is it windows only, or x86 only?

Because... we're x86 now too.

Really. I'm just asking because i thought VIIV was some sort of hardware tie-in thing [no I'm not thinking HDCP, HDMI, UDI, DVI or any of that stuff].

Looks like I'm gonna have to read up on VIIV.

MacTunes 7 for Mac + PC

Why would they take out the "i" and replace it with "Mac"? They already have a good thing going they wouldnt want to confuse the 40% percent of Americans who think Apple only makes iPods.

Also to everyone thinking Apples going to drop the shuffle off the line, Apple knows Wall Street would dump them if they got rid if it, their not stupid

Ok im done...:eek:
No offense iZoom, just my thought

Its because VIIV tech "requires" Windows Media Center and we all no theres no way Apples going to put it on the Mac. (Obviously). But they could change the requirement for that.

I have no idea what you are trying to say; that paragraph made my head spin. :confused:

i think he was practicing sarcasm, or some weird form of humor.
but his post was an eye-sore, that's for sure :p

The March 1st media even with Steve Jobs and Bonno was not just a rumor, right? odd this is the day before. i guess that is specific to Bonno's red something campaign, but it is odd to have back to back events and maybe lose press coverage.

Yeah, it's a real event. And would you be interested in purchasing a bridge I have for sale??

Apple denied it, the invites were faked and Bono (one 'n' only) is going to be in South America that day.

To be certified as a Viiv-technology based, PCs must feature one of the following processors:

* Intel Pentium D,
* Intel Core Duo,
* Intel Pentium Extreme Edition.

Alongside one of the following chipsets:

* Intel 975X Express, 955X Express, 945G Express, 945P Express, 945GT Express or
* Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset

-Wikipedia

Don't know if we have one of those chipsets.

wtf? oooh... um. I think I sort of get it. Porn? :eek:
That's not just masculine buddy. :p
heh. I don't look at the stuff though, personally.

This will be an event to announce all the little gadgets apple couldn't release durring the Macworld keynote for whatever reasons. Boombox etc. Nothing more, nothing less. Steve even said this would happen durring the keynote.

Dont see Apple releasing the touchscreen "VideoPod" here. That would be a much bigger event.

Move along people, nothing to see here....

the universal version of Apple's Pro Apps will be by the end of March (as stated on their site)... NAB is 3rd week of April (approx)...

they need to give people time to "crossgrade" their current software before trying to pitch them new versions (at least FCP6), which will most likely happen at NAB as they have in years past.
