Darn! Just checked and it said that my card couldn't be authorized. I wonder if that's because when they cancelled my original order, the other charge was maybe there?

How long does it take for a charge to drop off? Original order was Monday. It was cancelled and re-ordered on Tuesday.

Same thing happen for me. It takes 7 days and they will release the cancel order from your credit card. (I had to increase my line of credit)

My 21.5" 4K BTO shipped yesterday from China. Ordered on Oct 18. The bad news is that despite my prepaid next day service it was shipped UPS worldwide expedited with delivery on Oct 28....

So my iMac shipped a few days ago and Apple charged my card but some how they messed up my order while giving me some credits and refunded me the entire amount for my iMac :)

I bet they will catch the error at some point

I believe you can call Apple and ask them to remove the old charges that haven't dropped off yet. Otherwise, it takes some time for them to drop off on their own. Thankfully, you should just be able to reauthorize your current order without having to place a new one. Both my original and newly placed order had fraud alerts come up, and I was able to update the payment info on Apple.com as soon as I got the fraud alert cleared with the credit card company.

You can. I had to get them to talk to my Credit Card via a three-way call. never thought I'd have a threeway with apple ;)

Had my shipped to store and it now says it will be there Monday. Ordered first day. Bummer, I was looking forward to playing with it this weekend.

Haha ok...so the issue wasn't Apple or the first charge. AMEX flagged it as a security risk due to it being a high priced item. One 30min 3-way call later and everything is settled.

Now...I wonder what this does to my delivery time. The rep said that they don't charge until it's ready to ship, which means that mines was ready to ship at 2-3am ET and couldn't because of the card.

Guess it's a Monday delivery for me...

My status just changed to preparing for shipment.

For all those who are receiving their iMac after the committed delivery date, I wonder if you can complain and get something for it.

My iPhone was cracked last month and I used apple care to get a replacement. Instead of going into the store I opted for the shipping method where they send you a box to ship the phone in. The box did not come on time and I called and complained, so the rep gave me headphones, usb cord, and usb outlet for the hassle :)

That's really funny. When Apple called my cc provider it went like this

CC Rep: "we aren't authorized to lift a hold placed by them until they contact us."
Me: "I have them on the line."
CC Rep: "sir please state your name and who you are calling from."
Apple Rep: "I'm Shane from Apple."
CC Rep: "I'm lifting the hold now, your funds will be available immediately."

I was actually kind of shocked by how little they did to verify whether Shane was even with Apple. Oh well, whatever. It's ready to ship now so I guess it'll show up next week sometime.

I did.

I got the expedited shipping charge dropped, but expedited kept on. That's $42+

I just saw that the credit card transaction for my ship to store is gone/reversed from my CC....I assume they run it through for reals (again) when I pick it up?

Mine shipped and some how half my entire order went back on my card after they issued some refunds to me.

Placed order on the 15th. Chose the option to ship to store. Today the status changed from processing to "preparing for shipment". It is available to pick up on Oct 23. I live in Orange County, California so if it ships to the store today or tomorrow from the California location, it should definitely be here by Friday.

The status is now updated to "Shipping to Store". The delivery date has been changed to Oct 26. This is interesting since a few hours ago it was Oct 23 and the rep I talked to today confirmed this. Hopefully it still arrives on Friday! *fingers crossed*

Yay! Ready for pick up! It arrived today, the date I was given when I ordered it. I'm happy it wasn't delayed until Monday after all!

Going to pick up now :D

Just got my shipment notice. It will be here Monday morning. :):apple::) Only took about 5 hours to go from Preparing to ship to shipped. Coming from California.

High End with 16gb RAM and 512gb SSD BTO. Everything else standard. This is brave new world territory for me: so used to small screens. :p

Didn't get to order mine until very late Tuesday (21st) night after cancelling a 256GB ordered on release day to get a 512GB instead, then having to wait for the preauthorized charge to go away so my $5k credit limit had enough to actually order again. Estimated is Oct. 30th - Nov. 3rd after originally ordering on the 13th. :(

Hopefully that's a conservative estimate, or at least Oct. 30th rather than Nov. 3rd...

My iMac ordered on 10/20 shipped today from CA and will be delivered on Monday. Everything top spec except 512 SSD. Wired keyboard and trackpad.

Very excited!
