Define total failure. Apple will only sell tens of millions? What's happened to $10 keyboards? A computer that needs a $300 keyboard (which is more than the cost of some computers) is a total failure.

The new keyboard doesn't look like it's using the same material as the old ones based on that photo. I hope it's different. I don't really like the feel of the older smart keyboards.
Won’t say yes or no. But Apple isn’t forcing any consumer to buy this product. Similar to the $999 display stand....$349 for the 12.9"? It's sheer greed, pure and simple.
Yup, 3rd and 4th gen iPad Pros. I was surprised with this, but I'm really glad.
The KB price is very high for an iPad I will admit, but you can always use the old one. Except for LIDAR (for what purpose? AR and more realistic portrait shots maybe?) which is kind of cool... and an extra camera, microphones, and one more GPU core... is that it?
Not an amazing upgrade.
Heck the Macbook Air going to 4 cores and much better gfx is a better upgrade.
Nice but prices are getting a bit silly now. Think I'll stick to my 10.5" pro until they go OLED with iPads.
YesI have a 2018 iPad Pro 11". Model A1980. Is this compatible with the 11" Magic Keyboard case?
Adobe just needs to bring inDesign and I can replace my Mac with my Pro and do more work on the go!
What on earth is an A12Z
Totally fine with my 2018 11” iPad Pro. Was hoping Apple was going to announce an iPad Mini Pro. Guess not. Oh well.
Surely the iPad will wobble about when you need to touch the screen though? The trackpad will mitigate that, but there are still going to be occasions when you need to use touch - or the Pencil, for that matter.

Basically better off getting a refurb 12.9 2018 for $699 from Apple and the keyboard then. $1050 all in. Saves $300. The iPad itself isnt a huge upgrade at all.
And the savings basically pays for the whole keyboard then. $1050 for that combo isnt a terrible deal considering the actual iPad upgrade itself is so small.
